Having fun in the flickr sandbox on a rainy day. Imagining a "What If" situation and how it might look on 5th Avenue if the unthinkable came to pass.

My Image Compositing Lab, Certain Projects in San Francisco, was honored to win this prestigious Addy award in 1988 from the Northern California Advertising Industry for special effects. David Tise was the photographer.

Certain Projects was my special effects photographic lab for 14 years (1981-1995). The arrival of digital Photoshop replaced the need for traditional analog darkroom image manipulation.

Yeah, this might look a little familiar to some of you--I've uploaded this before, or several variations similar to this one.

This was taken in Houston, Texas, behind the Spaghetti Warehouse, of Buffalo Bayou reflecting some tall buildings.

I just felt we needed some color and this is the first pic I ran across!

You're never alone with a towel.

one of Stan's orchids in the window light.. background dropped out, replaced with a colored gradient.

the base image is a macro closeup of a dried up rubber tree leaf... lit for creating shadows and reflections.

In processing with Photoshop, I added the circles as if they were in the background.

The round highlight beneath the leaf is the reflection of the lightsource, and a great excuse to add such a circle to the image... as if I need an excuse.

I followed the procedure, first, as outlined here: brilliantdays.com/archives/2005/10/how_to_create_a.php ,

and in the flickr Amazing Circles group: www.flickr.com/groups/amazingcircles/discuss/116859/
