I shot this in burst mode so I could pick the best composition after, the Samsung NX1 i've been supplied with by Samsung can shot 15 28 megapixel raw frames a second. That's pretty fast especially when you compared to the newly announced Canon 5Ds 5 raw frames a second, although the new 5Ds is 51 megapixels!

The starlings are out in force in Brighton at the moment, they appear about 20 minutes before sunset and soon as the sun goes down (even if it's behind cloud) they stop. If the weather is good you need check it out, I think the better the weather is the more starlings there are.
Been shooting the starling murmurations most weekday afternoons down at Brighton Pier as my office is just 3 minute walk away.
I have quite a few images if you include from previous years so I have now put together a little album of my starling pictures.

Yesterday I popped to the beach just before sunset and there was no starling murmuration this time, maybe because the sun was behind the cloud. It was a low tide and there were few seagulls knocking around. Shot this with a 50-200mm lens on a Samsung NX1, not usually a fan lot long lenses but I can see where they might come in handy.
Definitely one for my Low Down Flickr album.
