Actually, this was one of those blinks.. but in this light, and having overheard Chris Gentry (Atomic Photography) saying he preferred his visages in black and white... this treatment seemed perfect.
This meetup was held at Stan Crocker's "Crocker's Mark" gallery, with an agenda of getting to know each other better and make resulting portraits.

The Library of Congress website offers a multitude of historical images, many with no known restrictions on use. This image is derived from the 1900 Keystone View Co. stereograph titled Mexican Bull Ring--Flaunting the scarlet. Despite the pictures and the way it looks, this really is a nice place, i love this place, and if i had my way i would stop them knocking this place down and build it back up again just the way it was.

My Image Manipulation assignment this week: Turning a black and white image into a realistic looking color image. I was pleased with my results, so I thought I'd post it :) The original is the b/w on the right, the left side is after I was done editing it in CS5.
I'm taking Image Manipulation this quarter, learning CS5. I made this with 4 separate images using layers and masks. I know it looks kind of nooby, but it's my first attempt :)
