Emma Liberty, now 9 years old, had been abandoned and left to die in the snow. A friend brought her to Nancy, her dog mom. “She has been my heart, soulmate and best friend ever since,” Nancy writes.

Cali is a rescued 4-year-old Border Collie (maybe) mix. “She doesn't love getting bathed or groomed but she will tolerate it, because I think she likes to hear me tell her how pretty she looks afterwards,” says Jackie, her pet parent. “She loves to hike and hang out with her best friend, Lucy. I love her honest and loving personality and feel that I couldn't have been more fortunate to bring her into my life.”
Banzai is very intelligent and lots of fun, says his dog dad, Bill. “He can be a ball of energy or, as in this photo, a napping couch potato who loves to snuggle up!” Bill says.
Milo is a 6-year-old Poodle-Schnauzer mix who was rescued about three years ago after he was abandoned. “There are so many wonderful and unique things about Milo, but we have to say that he is the most intuitive dog,” say his pet parents, Michael and Andrea. “He always senses if you’re not feeling well or if you need to be cuddled with or if you need kisses. He is a winner, no matter what!”
