Evening shot at St Pancras International train station, London. 7Artisans manual lens at F 1.2.

This is Brussels too

The original photo, was , in my opinion, too dark. So I decided to rework it, to bring out the detail better. I hope you like it .

And I added my kick ass watermark!

The city unfolds its beauty, but he’s already somewhere warmer, eyes closed, heart open.

If we just ignore him maybe he'll go away

mr Spock is choosing to ignore his unwanted visitor who showed up when he was sleeping away in a sunbeam

You must understand though the touch of your hand

Makes my pulse react

That it's only the thrill of boy meeting girl

Opposites attract

It's physical

Only logical

You must try to ignore that it means more than that

What's love got to do, got to do with it?

What's love but a second-hand emotion?

What's love got to do, got to do with it?

Who needs a heart when a heart can be broken?

It may seem to you that I'm acting confused

When you're close to me

If I tend to look dazed I've read it someplace

I've got cause to be

There's a name for it

There's a phrase that fits

But whatever the reason you do it for me

What's love got to do, got to do with it?

What's love but a second-hand emotion?

What's love got to do, got to do with it?

Who needs a heart when a heart can be broken?

I've been taking on a new direction

But I have to say

I've been thinking about my own protection

It scares me to feel this way

What's love got to do, got to do with it?

What's love but a second-hand emotion?

What's love got to do, got to do with it?

Who needs a heart when a heart can be broken?

What's love got to do, got to do with it?

What's love but a sweet old-fashioned notion?

What's love got to do, got to do with it?

Who needs a heart when a heart can be broken?

What's love got to do, got to do with it?

What's love but a second-hand emotion?

What's love got to do, got to do with it?

Who needs a heart when a heart can be broken?

What's love?

Got to do it

Got to do it

What's love?

Ignore the EXIF lens data. Shot with TT Artisan 40mm f/2.8 Macro, probably at f/5.6 or f/8.

Ignore this post, don't know why the old one got deleted.

From a film swap project with a dear friend.

Portra 160 we each exposed at ISO 320.

Dartmouth in Devon, UK.

I posted an image of this character a while back. He is a 2 1/2 year old Brown Bear cub in Katmai National Park, Alaska. He struck a variety of entertaining poses, like this one where he appears to have decided to ignore the photographer and refuses to look in my direction.

Heading back to Alaska in a few weeks and had to dip into the archives to start psyching myself up...

(Ignore the Exif data. This shot was done with the Samyang 300mm F6.3)

There is a lot of pre-colonial royalty left in Africa. This is a miniature brass figurine of the Asantehene, King of the Ashanti (in what is now Ghana). These pre-colonial political structures have survived remarkably well and work in tandem, not in conflict, with the modern democratic processes. I bought this sculpture in 1971 in Accra and do not know anything about its age etc. But you can see the King sitting on his throne, under his parasol and accompanied by one of his councillors. In the 19th century, the Ashanti were involved for many decades in a ferocious war for independence, that is, against British colonialism. To finance this war of independence, they traded in gold and in slaves. The proceeds from this were needed in order to buy weapons (rifles and ammunition). The latter were delivered not by the Brits but, among others, buy a company from the Hanseatic Free City of Bremen. This company was also the main financier of the Bremen Mission to West Africa. This mission started itself by buying slave children on the African slave markets. There you have the complicated and very much international history of West Africa in the 19th century!

If WE ignore the laws of censorship..they finished with us ..., and do NOT forget that there are many forms of censorship in the World ...!!!!

When not remember what happens to us,

the same thing can happen.

They are the very things that we marginalize,

memory kill us, we burn the ideas,

take away the words.

If history is written by the victors,

that means that there is another story,

the real story.

who want to hear let him hear.

They burn the words, they are silenced,

and the voice of the people will ever hear.

Needless to kill,

proof of death

that life exists ...

Still continuing my color journey, again farther away than last time. I see that slowing down is even more important with Ektar, since tending to see things in B&W gives a latitude of what to ignore, if that makes any sense. But it's a great exercise to observe once again. Thanks to those flickeranians who continue to inspire!

A redo of shot done some time ago, in august. Decided a closer crop work better.

(Converted to black and white because the colour scan by ScanCafe was terrible)

I was hesitant to post this one as the subject matter was nothing special. It’s only a flower and better to say a completely ignored flower. That was quite interesting to see how it was ignored by everyone as from a distance it was looking a very much dull and dry. I am always a big fan of flowers. I stepped forward to it to have a close look at all around of this dull and dry flower. It opened my eyes. It was spreading lovely muted colours of winter. When I touched it, I got a jerk in my veins. The fine delicate fibres were just giving a hint of earth tones. Really it was hard for me to get rid of. Thought let me use my glass for a good purpose!

I get my Eagle shots at Conowingo Dam so I usually ignore the Eagles at Bombay Hook NWR but this one seemed odd. When their head and tail have this much white, the chest is usually much more dark at this point. Frosted Eagle for breakfast!

well .. if the soiled mouth can be ignored. :)

Have a great weekend. Still busy. Still no light. Still looking forward to capture spring(flowers).

The Faro de Sa Farola is the most urban lighthouse of all those in Menorca. Located on the seafront of Sa Farola just 1km from the center of Ciutadella is possibly the lighthouse most ignored by all who pass by. This lighthouse began to be built in 1861 and was completed and inaugurated in 1863. In 2013 it celebrated 150 years since its opening! This lighthouse was one of the first of all the Balearic Islands to inaugurate the electric lighting system, in 1918.

These horses were part of a dude ranch operation. I think they thought we stopped to ride them. They studiously ignored us. However, we just stopped to have lunch, not to ride. Wish they would have understood my attempts at reassurance.

Happy Fence Friday!

After long hours of shoot of Bald Eagles, I seen this poor bird seating for hours waiting for attention so I shot couple of frames, and after that it decided to fly. I guess it may have wish come true !

Ill tell a little story that is not true. In reality here are some of the dancers we had an opportunity to watch dancing in the streets
