Steer wrestling is the ultimate test of brute strength. These cowboys have to jump off their horses and wrestle a steer to the ground in a short amount of time. I don't know who gets the worst end of the deal, the cowboy or the steer.
I was pleasantly surprised of finding one of my childhood's favorite shows on hulu.com. I had quite a crush on this guy when I was about 12. :D
Kudos if you identify the show! And just for the record, I watched this one on reruns, the show was already a classic by then!
Artist David Scotland, founder of the 2st Century art movement called Companionism (World Premiere at the Portland Art Museum on June 8, 2006), is donating 50% of all net proceeds from purchases made of his "Manhattan Series" to ONE.org, to help cure world poverty once and for all. Companionism is a new art movement with the sole purpose of awakening everyone to the literal electro-magnetic ONEness we all share so that ONE day, we can live in truth, wisdom, peace, and love -- TOGETHER -- as companions, not as enemies.
David Scotland is best known as one of the few "artists of integrity" who creates "Art That Does Good"(TM) and in the past has donated to Habitat for Humanity, the Joseph Plan, the Patricia Neal Rehabilitation Center, the Clark County Council for the Homeless, the Tony Hawk Foundation's Stand Up for Skate Parks, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of greater Los Angeles, the Jason Foundation for the prevention of teen suicide, IGIVEUP.org for saving Malawi, and David Mirisch Enterprises, among others. really? a photo not on canvas is not "art"? and any photo, if on canves, is your so called "art"? I thought you were better then this, flickr.
not to be a ranter, but am I the only one who is annoyed by this?
Yes I amused myself by posing the poor art model in silly positions. It makes me smile just looking at it :)
Since I started my backyard project I wanted to have all the tools that I needed. I bought a small wagon for hauling bricks and other such things out of the yard. It required some assembly. I thought, "no problem, I can put together a small wagon and be out in the yard in no time."... HA! I guess I'll be using it tomorrow instead.
And why not, my camera got busted on Saturday, that's why I'm digging through the archives to keep up with the fun of Flickr.
God I spend too much time at Amelie's - being that it's the only 24h coffee and baked goods shop in town, though - it sure is handy when I'm needing to do my schoolwork...
Finally finished 2 of 5 classes - 3 exams to go!!!
This was the historic "I Give Up" tour poster for a tour that was exactly one show in New York and recording in New Jersey. It was fun. It was November, that's why we're all turkeys, not because we're all turkeys.
So I give my cat a cat bed (yes that's BED) to lay on and what does he do?
Of course. Goes straight under so it's on his head *sigh*
There's Milton, looking like the police are at the door, Barney's in the middle, and Dug, still looking angry.
