Hashtags are changing the way we share our news, ideas and status on social networks. There’s a special one named #igers*cityname* that is trying to develop a new way to show amazing places in Italy.
This one has been created by Instagramers Italia a part of the worldwide community of Instagramers, founded by Philippe Gonzalez in January 2011 in Madrid. The Italian community is a non-profit organization aimed at spreading knowledge and Instagram and the mobile photography events online and offline .
The groups in the world are about 300 and now the time has come to create a community to the southeast of Italy.
The local managers in Ragusa’s province are Erika and Alex, they’re not new to this type of activity, the two of them are responsible for social media strategy and web marketing consulting for living, and the last April had already promoted the event “Invasioni Digitali”. The launching of this new project is a clear message to the citizens, a change towards new technologies and the way we communicate.
Since they started using the app, a little for fun and a little for work, they wanted to give birth to the community in their city.
The province of #Ragusa has many facets that are yet to be known, Ragusa is one of the main tourist attractions in #Sicily but many of them are not aware about the hidden beauties .
The role of the igers, so are called the users of Instagram, is to promote through the images and videos , the places of the province, the local traditions and the atmosphere in the southeast Sicily, adding also all activities that will want to look out into the world of mobile photography.
