Hmmmmm.

Elly Sallingboe's 'Sally B' is the only Flying B-17 in Europe, perhaps even the only one outside the US.

These days the aircraft carries the identity of 'Sally B' on the left side, while the markings of 'Memphis Belle' is still present on the right side of her nose since her appearence in the Warner Bros. 1990 film.

The person peeking out of the window is pilot Peter Kuypers.

The building form most closely associated with New York City is the skyscraper, which has shifted many commercial and residential districts from low-rise to high-rise. Surrounded mostly by water, the city has amassed one of the largest and most varied collection of skyscrapers in the world.

I've seen this Cessna 172E at a few different aviation events in the southwest, and I absolutely love it. Note being a huge serial/reg guy, I never looked into its pedigree before, and was surprised to see that the serial stenciled on the side - 64-15720 - actually belonged to an AGM-12 Bullpup missile.

Right the creative flow I am having right now is identity. My main goals in these photography images are to hide the faces of the characters. It will make a unique theme towards and within the composition. The narrative flow is amazing within the elements of character development. The emotion is very sad and dark, also very confusion. I love dark images, I think personally they suits the reality's of society.

Dissociative identity disorderis a psychiatric diagnosis that describes a condition in which a single person displays multiple distinct identities or personalities (known as alter egos or alters), each with its own pattern of perceiving and interacting with the environment. The diagnosis requires that at least two personalities routinely take control of the individual's behavior with an associated memory loss that goes beyond normal forgetfulness; in addition, symptoms cannot be due to drug use or medical condition.

There is a great deal of controversy surrounding the topic. There are many commonly disputed points about DID. These viewpoints critical of DID can be quite varied, with some taking the position that DID does not actually exist as a valid medical diagnosis, and others who think that DID may exist but is either always or usually an adverse side effect of therapy. DID diagnoses initially appeared to be almost entirely confined to the North American continent, but later surveys found cases on other continents but at significantly lower rates.

The names are pretty random... whatever happened to pop into my head. Except "Sybil"... anyone know why?

Whitney was the first to get it. It was Sybil Dorsett who had the disorder in the 50's. There was a movie about it... NOT to be confused with Sybil Trelawney (from Harry Potter)

My effort for Macro Mondays on the theme of Card - this was my grandfathers Identity card which has recently come into my possession - nowadays I can't imagine us accepting the modern equivalent.

This was a real shock to see. No editing whatsoever, this vehicle had to be pulled over here to contact the garage, as it carried the registration of DE20054 (YX59BYF) on the front of it. Yes, this is against the law hence the photo isn't the best but I had to get it before it was changed.

Mural IDENTITY– Hofaue 49

What would a chameleon say if you ask it what color it is? If it knows what it's talking about, it might just say, "Yes."

In a similar way, many people seem to base their identity primarily on what everybody around displays. Which has more in common with camouflage than with identity. It's a safety precaution just like a chameleon changing its color, but it's still just a mask they wear. They've put it on at one point, probably because they had to, and then forgot it's there. It's not that they could take it off anyway, so they figured they might as well get used to it. And try not to think of it too much, because that way only leads to anguish and isolation.

"BEGIN AGAIN"

A meditation on identity. When we take away our veil, our mask, the thing we hide behind - who are we? How do we find that person under the layers of identity others put on us?

This series asks these questions, and I hope you find an answer creeping up in you as you view them. I hope you enjoy the journey of looking at all these images - 11 in total. They are hanging in the JoAnne Artman Gallery in NYC through mid-August.

Let me know which one resonates with you most!

One that would make some people scratch their heads as to what railroad is actually in front of them can be easily explained. A run through CSX powered express grain train rolls slowly through downtown Howell on the Great Lakes Central as they prepare to pass the former Ann Arbor depot that recently acquired and restored a former Grand Trunk Western caboose. A couple miles ahead, the train will cross the diamond at Ann Pere where Great Lakes Central crosses the CSX Plymouth Sub. Too much to follow? We are on the GLC. The express train is the second GLC has received from CSX this year and like the first one, was loaded in Oakley on the former NYC St. Charles Branch at the Anderson's Elevator complex north of town. The train will be handed off to the Ann Arbor and will eventually be taken by CSX for export.
