A great view from the top of Pen y Fan in the Brecon Beacons of an imminent snow shower approaching. The beautiful lines and curves of these ridges makes up for any lack of rocky cliffs. I love the wintry feel of this one, and the Ideal Height by Biffy Clyro is perfect as in the hills the ideal height is at the top looking down.

The forecast is looking exciting this week, with cold winds and snow, so it's just a question of where it falls. Hopefully the ideal height would be anywhere over 2000 ft, so either the Brecon Beacons, or later on in the week Scotland should get some. The ideal height is by Biffy Clyro.
This long abandoned and badly decayed farmhouse is another remnant from the old town of Ideal,IL.It is buried in trees down a long,rutted lane-which has probably allowed it to survive all these years.It is starting to collapse inside-I came one step from ending up in the basement,which would have been far from Ideal....
Ideal is one of those small towns that never ended being much more than a cluster of farms.A heavily used rail line is nearby,and a nice paved road is all that remains of the town...

Fue fundada en 1912 pero cerró sus puertas en 2017. Desde entonces y hasta noviembre de 2022, los más de dos mil metros cuadrados del edificio fueron puestos en valor y se recuperó su patrimonio histórico, gracias a un equipo de especialistas en bronce, madera, estuco, dorado a la hoja y vitrales.Su arquitectura es todo un símbolo de la Belle Époque. Te va a sorprender la centenaria cúpula, compuesta por 60 paneles de vitrales y una moldura elaborada con cartapesta.Las arañas y los apliques son originales, y en la restauración fueron bajadas y pulidas. También se desarmaron y renovaron los ascensores, se acondicionó la Bombonera del primer piso y los vitraux.Todo lo que consumas o compres en La Ideal es de elaboración propia: tiene su propia panadería, cocina, pastelería y bombonería. El edificio incluso cuenta con una lavandería.
Es un lugar muy especial de la Ciudad, para sentarse a comer o a tomar un rico desayuno o merienda. También podés comprar en la panadería, la bombonería y la sandwichería. Un verdadero viaje a la antigua Buenos Aires.Datos con historia
El dueño original de Confitería La Ideal fue Manuel Rosendo Fernández, un inmigrante español que planeó cada detalle de este restaurante y confitería, con todos los lujos de principios del siglo XX.
Se dice que aquí funcionó la primera fábrica de helados de la Ciudad.En la década del ’70, el primer piso se convirtió en un salón para milongas.
¿Querés saber algunos de los nombres más célebres que se sentaron en sus mesas? Desde Hipólito Irigoyen y Arturo Frondizi, hasta Jorge Luis Borges o Carlos Gardel, y Yoko Ono y Allan Parker. quedó deslumbrado con La Ideal, por eso decidió filmar allí escenas de la película Evita.

But ideal for colour photography so off I went with hat and coat along with a micro-fibre cloth.
This elderly Zeiss lens delivers a certain unique quality, a little difficult to focus occasionally but when everything comes together mmmh! f1.7 btw.

A Cliché shot of the Cocklawburn Block shaped rocks. I visited here for sunset but there was no cloud cover around, so not ideal conditions. I did try this though, and liked the glow from the sun on the rocks.

A westbound South Shore train is at the west end of Wagner Siding and the Ideal Section with it's North Shore style catenary bridges. A pair of former Penn Central Geeps roll along with a coil steel train. December 1976.
Another shot from my visit to a local kestrel nest.
I was lucky enough to come across this nest site close to a main road. The verge was an ideal place to park so that I could use the car as a mobile hide, so as to be as unobtrusive as possible.
Hidden in the car the birds seemed unaware of my presence allowing me to watch them behaving naturally.

Juxaposition or People and Posters
This is a collection of Graffiti or Posters that I have photographed over a period of time, with people in the foreground. There is some fantastic graffiti out there and all I have done is to record it. To the artists I take my hat off to you and have much regret when your work is vandalised. To the poster stickers, keep up the good work. As usual, trust you will enjoy what I’ve posted.

This was another trip inspired by the TPE App. I have come to love that app.
I drive by this area a few times a month and have some interesting shots of it during the day. When I saw the Sun Rise was going to be ideal in this area I had to head out. It was a morning worth the drive.
Here’s the repainted Eric doll that was started by dollsahoy and I redid his face in my own style to soften up his potato style sculpting. I didn’t have a particular look I need so I’m happy he has a personality and stuff lol.
I also sprayed him down in MSC so his body is now matte and it sorta matches his head better lol. I’m not a huge fan of later 70s dolls but I’m warming up to their… unique style lol.
I thought I had more vintage dolls with blue hair but I guess not lol

It's been a fairly rainy and gloomy day here; but that can't keep me inside so at lunch hour I ventured out.
The first place I had wanted to visit today was, much like the rest of this city, under construction so that trail was out.
Luckily I had a back up plan. It wasn't ideal, but it works and who can resist those fall colours?
Anyway, hope everyone managed to stay dry and have a good day!
