In the aftermath of the Russian Revolution, the church was ransacked and looted, badly damaging its interior. The Soviet government closed the church in 1932.[5] During the Second World War when many people were starving due to the Siege of Leningrad by Nazi German military forces, the church was used as a temporary morgue for those who died in combat and from starvation and illness. The church suffered significant damage. After the war, it was used as a warehouse for vegetables, leading to the sardonic name of Saviour on Potatoes.
Liqueur coffee is a delicious possibility to warm a cold body after walking through a winterly icecold landscape....
After coming home try this recipe:
Ingredients (serves 6):
* 6 cups hot freshly brewed coffee
* 120ml Eierlikör (liqueur made of eggs - eggnog)
* 300ml thickened cream, whipped
* 1 tablespoon drinking chocolate
Method:
Fill 6 coffee glasses with boiling water. Stand for 30 seconds, or until glasses are
warm. Discard water.
Pour coffee into warm glasses. Pour 1 tablespoon of liqueur into each glass and stir
to combine. Top with cream and dust with drinking chocolate.
If you don´t have Eierlikör take Whiskey or Cognac or a hazelnut-flavoured liqueur.
After this yummy drink your feet will be warm and I´m sure you will be happy...
A cherry blossom, also known as Japanese cherry or sakura, is a flower of many trees of genus Prunus or Prunus subg. Cerasus. They are common species in East Asia, including China, Korea and especially in Japan. They generally refer to ornamental cherry trees, not to be confused with cherry trees that produce fruit for eating. It is considered the national flower of Japan.
Many of the cherry trees currently enjoyed for cherry blossom viewing are not wild species but cultivar. Because cherry trees have a mutable trait, many cultivars have been created for cherry blossom viewing, especially in Japan.
In Europe, from the late 19th century to the early 20th century, Collingwood Ingram, an Englishman, collected and studied Japanese cherry blossoms, and created various ornamental cultivars, and the culture of cherry blossom viewing began to be spread. In the United States, cherry blossom viewing began to spread after Japan presented cherry blossoms as a token of friendship in 1912. Cherry blossoms have been described to have a beautiful smell and have been the inspiration for many candles and incense for household use. Many wild species and cultivars bloom from March to April in the Northern Hemisphere.

The Admiralty building is the former headquarters of the Admiralty Board and the Imperial Russian Navy in St. Petersburg, Russia and the current headquarters of the Russian Navy.[1]
The edifice was re-built in the nineteenth century to support the Tsar's maritime ambitions. The original design was a fortified shipyard which was later surrounded by five bastions and further protected by a moat.[2]
The Empire Style edifice visible today lining the Admiralty Quay was constructed to Andreyan Zakharov's design between 1806 and 1823.[2] Located at the western end of the Nevsky Prospekt, The Admiralty with its gilded spire topped by a golden weather-vane in the shape of a small sail warship (Korablik), is one of the city's most conspicuous landmarks and the focal point of old St. Petersburg's three main streets - Nevsky Prospect, Gorokhovaya Street, and Voznesensky Avenue - underscoring the importance Peter I placed on Russia's Navy.
Vladimir Nabokov, writer and native of St. Petersburg, wrote a short story in May 1933 entitled "The Admiralty Spire."

I made a cardboard Snoot Grid last week to see how they work.
I was impressed so I thought I would make a better "Keeper".
Anyway, I had a delema. All my "Cheap" flashes have different head sizes, but I only wanted the one snoot.
So here it is.

Photo taken at the end of the river Lobos Cannyon at the point where the Ucero river springs up to life.
It was a cold Sunday morning ... and there was nothing better than hiking in the snow to the San Batolome de Ucero hermitage. The road was completely covered in snow. I wasn't the only brave one to venture in the snow though - there were a lot of other hikers around. First, I had to leave the car at the beginning of the cannyon and then climb up, since the road was clomplety covered in snow and even ice in some parts.
Ucero River: The source of the river is in "La Galiana", also known as "Manantial (spring) de la Galiana", "Fuente (foutain) de la Galiana" and "Nacedero (source) del río Ucero", and is located at the end of the Lobos river cannyon.
The Lobos river, which begins in the province of Burgos, sweeps non-permeable materials from the undercurrents and runoffs as well as some karstic debri.
When it runs trhough Sierra de Cabrejas, the river collects chalk sediments from the Cretaceous period and runs through a narrow but magnificent cannyon until it reaches the source of the Ucero river.
The speed of the water is estimated to be low, aprox. 10km per week (60m/h). The average flow at the source of the river is 650l/sec/, the temperature of the water, 10º C and contains 8,3 cm3 dissolved oxygen per litre of water.
