Freezing serene view of, yes, another sunset. Though I found this view quite appealing as I saw(see), something pristine in it, except for the oversnowed skatemarks.
one of many geothermal miniature" powerplants" in Iceland. This one is near Efri Reykir, Arnessysla. The borehole was made in 1988 and is 720 metres deep connecting directly to a hot thermal waters, thus powering 19 farms and 500 summer houses. On top it looks good in the icecold winter temperatures :)
We're now into day 2 of being storm stayed and the city has declared a "significant weather event," which is their way of mitigating any liability issues that might arise from uncleared roads or sidewalks. It's giving me a good excuse to stay home and continue with the different processing of these older images. I had taken this one on a snowy day as well.

Beautiful Tiffany waterfall in Hamilton Ontario. It is so cold this April that ice is forming around the waterfall!
The Mighty Fraser River on an absolutely enchanting winter evening.
The sky, water & ice reflections were completely mesmerizing.
As the sun disappeared below the horizon, a most incredible colour display began....a wide range of colours, from warm sunset yellows and oranges, to combinations that included indigo blues, stunning pinks and reds, and for the grand finale the sky glowed in twilight's deepest purples.
People were coming from all directions to witness this surreal winter sky-show.

The sound of the ice crackling and snapping as it flowed by made for a magical sound.

'Don't be a copy, when you were born an original'
First step on the suspension bridge forced me to grab the bridge hands as tight as possible. Second step, taken at a dead slow pace made me believe this is the farthest i can go. And then some very fast paced steps made me believe I have fallen down.
Yes it was the local kid in the picture ( look hard at the bridge center) who literally ran half way down the bridge.
I simply could not believe it. Stunned as I was, some common sense passed through making me realize its an every day thing for them, death daring for city dwellers like us.
This is the exact same photo I posted a week ago, except this one has twice the resolution of the first. Don't ask.... ; )
