Blue sky and green grass… just the way we like it.

Me and Herb did a 2.58 mile walk around the park and woods this morning. Plenty of other people enjoying the lovely day too.

From this photo I can just see our house, a bit of the red fence at the front, the shed roof, and the roof of the pergola at the back.

He's sweet natured and gets along with everyone, including another female exotic shorthair and Dexter, the boy bulldog. Just playing with the new iPhone 14 ProMax (portrait mode). More images of Geo and the other creatures are in my Flora/Fauna album.

Back in May, I deliberately left this cut red onion out on the counter because it got more interesting looking from day to day

I didn't know what I was going to do with it, but it does work perfectly for Smile On Saturday "Observe the O..." theme for November 23, 2024. -- May 4, 2024

We can’t get through this gate, and there’s no stile to get over.

This is the end of Kundzia glen, it moves into private land.

We enjoyed a good walk.

Rigg bay, Garlieston

Yesterday we went to visit Galloway House gardens.

As we meandered around the paths of the wooded area we saw the beach.

The tide was out, and quite a way out was this catamaran, anchored down.

I said to Tracey that I’d like to photograph it against the blue sky. As we headed towards it a couple of people and their dog got off the boat and were walking towards us.

It wasn’t long before our dogs were running around and playing together on the sand.

We chatted with the couple, for about an hour, and they showed us around the catamaran.

They had sailed from Whitehaven, England, and stopped overnight here. When the tide was to come back in they were heading to Kirkcudbright.

It’s a small world. They were Lancastrians too, and live just 8 miles from us.

Towneley park

I’m happy that I got this photograph today, otherwise it would have been a completely wasted journey.

I’d driven to Towneley park (8 miles) to renew my car parking season ticket, it ran out yesterday.

Bizarrely the shop that you buy it from is only open Saturday to Thursday…. Not Friday!

I park here on match days too. It’s a 10 / 15 minute walk to the football ground.

So good to put together.

Even though there were many components, each one had a sticker on it which said its name, and if it was left / right / front / back.

The actual bench is well heavy, and is solid hardwood.

Stone circle & henge

Me, Tracey, and Herb went to visit the Ring of Brodgar yesterday. It’s a short walk from the car park, and a wonderful amazing place.

There is no visitor centre or policing of the area… so much more enjoyable than visiting Stone Henge.

The stones are amazing, you can walk amongst standing stones on Orkney, and touch them.
