Centuries Rock, Beneath this rock is a small vault containing a sealed copper box placed there July 21st, 1954.
It contains all manner of illustrated and documentary material dealing with affairs of this date. The box will be opened for inspection July 21st, 2054. Canada first civic arboretum was establish on this site in 1949. Within its boundaries are Canada's native trees, shrubs and plants and many exotic specimens. It is a community project sponsored by the pulp and paper industry of British Columbia and developed by the Board of Parks Commissioners of Vancouver.

Bloedel Conservatory is a domed lush paradise located in Queen Elizabeth Park. More than 100 free-flying exotic birds, 500 exotic plants and flowers, and koi fish thrive within its temperature controlled environment.
Constructed through a very generous donation from Prentice Bloedel, Bloedel was dedicated at its opening in 1969 “to a better appreciation and understanding of the world of plants."
Designated at heritage building, it is jointly operated by Vancouver Park Board and the VanDusen Botanical Garden Association. Together, these partners also operate VanDusen Botanical Garden.

Construction began on March 31, 1937. It opened to traffic on November 14, 1938.
On January 20, 1955, the Guinness family sold the bridge to the province for $5,959,060, and in 1963, the tolls were dropped.
The Guinnesses’ last involvement with the bridge happened in 1986, when they added lights to the bridge as an Expo '86 gift.
The Guinness family, as a gift to Vancouver, purchased decorative lights that make it a distinctive nighttime landmark for our city.

The pedestrian bridge at Olympic Village. This 40 metre canoe bridge’s wavy design is very inviting for joggers, pedestrians and cyclists alike.
The bridge was also featured in Dwell Magazine last year and has become a favourite route for those traversing the Sea Wall around Vancouver.
