HAPPY SLIDERS SUNDAY !!
Sliding - I slid heavily to bring out the texture in thIs stucco wall.
PLUS I turned it from boring white to a shiny light blue to
attract your attention.
If you are reading, I succeeded.😋
MY "IMessAGE":
I think weed seeds have more hubris (self confidence) than almost any other living thing.
They will give life a go in what appear to be extremely unpromising places.
For example, as here - "up against the wall" -- our stock phrase to express desperation.
LIfe's fundamental goal is to reproduce itself.
This weed seed (or maybe it's TWO !!) has rapidly grown improbably tall and put forth flowers.
Seeds will follow.
If we see the fundamental goal as a priority, we would all seek to live lives--in our own
time scales--that are as quickly successful as these one or two weeds. Note that they are
also setting an example for a tiny adjacent late-bloomer! 😋
Location: A quiet side street, Dorfkern (village center) Riehen BS Switzerland.

For the Macro Mondays challenge "Evolution" (September 18th 2017)
HMM!!
Something that has changed and evolved over time? I guess the biggest 'evolution' in my lifetime has been the arrival of computers and the internet! I used to keep in touch with friends and family by letter, hand-written. Now it is a quick email, Viber or iMessage. And news was delivered with the daily newspaper. Now it all available online. There's lots I miss about the old ways - the envelope in the shot here was sent in 1995. All my communications now are lost or deleted, or printed out and then later they'll be shredded! I do treasure my old letters, just as I treasure my fountain pens! ;o)
There's a shot with the 2x3" credit card measure in the first comment field.

A setting looking to the southwest while taking in views across mountain desert landscape at a roadside pullout along the Walnut Canyon Desert Drive in Carlsbad Caverns National Park. My thinking in composing this iMessage was to use the high ground that I was located and angle my Nikon SLR camera slightly downward to capture a more sweeping view across the hillsides leading up to the mountains off in the distance. Angling my Nikon SLR camera would also bring those mountains higher into the image and minimize what I felt was a more negative space with the blue skies.
Loch Arklet (Slide film).
This remote loch in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park sits sandwiched between Loch Lomond and Loch Katrine. It makes for a spectacular loch with the Arrochar Alps acting as a backdrop, it is a very photogenic location. To reach this loch you have to take the B829 Inversnaid road, which passes through the equally beautiful, Loch Ard and Loch Chon. There is a large variety of wildlife that can be seen from this area, including the unmistakable osprey, golden eagles and even feral goats.

So I hope this photo is worth it, because I broke my phone in the process. No more Kik, iMessage, or Instagram for me. At least until Friday...
Its been a strange 24 hours...
B&A on my Facebook page.
This photo goes along with this one... mostly because they (literally) share the same clouds.
It's been a bit of an EPCOT week, but that's what happens when I have a really good night of shooting. I'll end with Peace on Earth from inside China. I think we could all use a little hope and peace right now.
Today is also the release of Cory, Keith, and my app, the 2017 Photo-A-Day App presented by the Disney Photography Blog. To see our photos, plus 25 iMessage stickers, check it out on iTunes! itunes.apple.com/us/app/2017-photo-day-from-disney/id1180...
It may have been 2013 that Max and I "met" here on Flickr. I know we were in a few groups together, most closely in Take Aim. To be honest, I don't know what it was that happened that we began to chat back and forth over iMessage or Hangouts or Skype --- but we did. Then it simply became a part of our lives, to share stuff - fun, funny, crazy, sad, profound, silly, whatever, stuff. After years of this, one day in October I said, Enough! I bought a ticket and went to see this sweet friend in Michigan. We had a blast! She wore me out with hiking trails, steps in the woods, racing around looking for owls (okay, that one's on me), meeting her amazing and awesome family, showing me as much of her life as she could in three and half short days. We have our love of nature and photography to bind us and bound we are. One airplane ticket I'll never regret getting. Cheers to you, Max!
BTW, photo credit to Max and her trusty Canon.
Oh the way to Rara's house (:
I should be studying or doing my homework now.
Today was good (: and iMessage is so fun to use!

Hello guys, I didn't post a lot of pic recently, essentially cause of the bad weather over here which was making my pics look really dark and blurry and I just couldn't post that :/ I tried my best to immediately catch my camera when the sun was showing up but it didn't happen a lot lol
But some of the pics I took aren't that bad so I'm gonna share them with you :p
On Tuesday, I got a surprise package from a Facebook friend with some cool stuffs in it as you can see :D I'm definitely gonna send her some stuffs too to say thanks cause those girls and boys were on my wishlist for a long time now :p
As you can see I got, 3 My Scene Boys, 2 Suttons (I think the Masquerade Madness one and the A Night In The Town) and a Hudson, the A Night In The Town, cause my friend got the Chelsea with him so I guess it was the one who belongs with her ^^
I also got a super beautiful iMessage girls Barbie with her super cute little braids, a Brenda from the Beverly Hills Tv Show (I now have one to wear the Bikini, yay :D)
A Tecna, the Season 1 Tecna cause she was supposed to have the light-up wings on the back and Sky :D I didn't even know that mattel released a Sky, his body is really interesting, I've never seen it before
Stay tune for after pics :p

I am not the person who needs the newest, fastest. latest in no aspect of my life. It so happened however that my old iphone - that was a second-hand one as well - couldn't connect to the provider no more shortly after XMas and after having called with helpdesk it was clear that it was not worth having it repaired (nor could we repair it ourselves). So I had to bite into the sour apple (a German saying) and had to order a new smartphone. IPhone since my fam uses them and so its easier for communicating. My Mum got the old one so we can still imessage, so the old one is still being used.
My boyfriend thought I should also get a new bumper (the other one was worn out - I am pretty rough with my stuff) and since I like some pink occasionally this is the one I chose. Today he surprised me with this super duper cable that comes with an adjustable weight (the knot) so it won't fall off tables so quickly (he calls it Gaby-proof - we'll see bout that). And it got the same hue. Love it!
