I saw the light was looking great for the sunset so I loaded up my car and drove around Paris Mountain to my new spot here. Above the trees you can see all the way to the Blue Ridge Mountains.

I shot this using my 55-200mm lens for more foreground/background compression to really set the car in the scene. My camera was on a tripod about 40 meters from the car. I started shooting at f/22 for depth of field then added in the full power Vivitar 285hv (bare) however I had to open up to f/14 to start picking up the flash. I took 3 exposures, for the front, and two wheels.

Monasterio de Santa Catalina, Arequipa, Perú.

It is an amazingly colourful complex of buildings, wonderfully restored with the aid of Cooperación Española after a disastrous hearthquake.
