Don't get me started about the state of the trains in Britain these days...
Oh, OK then, if you insist. The carriages on the Bristol to London line have been undergoing refurbishments recently, part of which has included a snazzy new colour scheme. Well, less snazzy, and more migraine-inducing. It's all so incredibly un-restful. The lights have this incredibly harsh acidic greeny-blue tone (the film has captured the feel of them quite well, I think) that seems to project your retina all the way through to the back of your brain, in a sickly hyper-stimulating manner. Meanwhile, it's impossible to sit comfortably, as the seats are so painful on the derrière, and closely packed together. Basically, the whole environment seems to conspire to make people feel unhappy and aggressive... and that's just in an empty carriage...
Kristen was having so much fun on the hiking trails… She kept running ahead to scout it out, then run back to say what direction to go in… I just wanted an ounce of that energy!
If you go, I can not say this enough: Make sure you have water!!!

"Hyper Duo", swiss band, performed tremendously for "Label Suisse Festival" in Lausanne on Sunday, the 20th of September 2020 @ BCV Concert Hall. Great ambience despite the obligatory masks.
Gorgeous Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport 16.4 at O'Gara Coach in L.A., standing just ten feet from the blue carbon fibre Supersport. This one is brand new to O'Gara! I'm trying to get a bulk of the shots up that I want to because school starts soon and I may not be able to be as Flickr-active as I hope.
Can anyone spot the other hypercar in this shot?

A very pretty young lady dressed up as the Suicide Squad movie version of Harley Quinn.
I added a "Gradient Map" layer (black & white) to the image in Photoshop and only allowed the blues and reds to bleed through. Next, I reduced the opacity of the Gradient Map to let a little bit of the underlying colors of the image to show through which created a hyper-saturation of reds and blues in comparison to the rest of the image.
I use variations of this technique on quite a few of my photographs but not usually to this obvious extreme. Comments? Critiques? Feedback?
Wouldn't it be cool to be able to click a button in your car and move into "hyper-drive" or "warp-drive" to get to work if you were running late? I'm not usually late for work, but there are times when I would like to leave a few minutes later than usual, but yet get to work on time. That was sort of the inspiration for this shot. But, how would I do it? Aha! The gift I received a few months ago just might do the trick...
I got a GorillaPod for Christmas last year from my in-laws (thanks Paul and Barb!) and I finally put it to good use because of the idea above. For those of you who don't know, a GorillaPod is a sort of mini-tripod that you can use to stabilize a camera in one position, except the legs are flexible enough to bend, yet firm enough that they can hold onto almost anything once they are put in place. That's probably not a good explanation. I guess a better explanation is that it can allow you to attach a camera to a stationary object quite easily and it's easier to carry around than a traditional tripod. Check out their website for a better idea. Anyway, I attached the GorillaPod to the headrest on the passenger's seat of my car and shot a few pictures on the way to work using a remote trigger.
So here you have it.. I'm entering "hyper-drive" on the lower deck of IH-35 in Austin, Texas on my way to work!
Of course this shot wasn't quite that easy... I'll leave most of it to your imagination, but let's suffice it to say that yes, all of the shots were taken on this morning, it was a bit of a bumpy ride on the way in, and no, I don't really have a hyper-drive built into my car. But, maybe some day!
