Today I went to Hyper Japan at Earls Court... except I didn't.
Not sure if it was down to utter stupidity in planning or brazen exploitation of the target market, but they massively oversold tickets. The queue was prohibitively long when we arrived at 1. The line of people snaked around the exhibition hall and back on itself, people taking to twitter to complain about being sunburnt and others giving up and leaving while the official Hyper Japan twitter account conveniently remained oblivious and urged more people to come down and enjoy a "taste of Japan".
We didn't fancy lining up for 3-4 hours to be in a crowded room of semi-interesting stuff, so just took two trips to the queue, got some Streetpasses and pictures, and went home.
This photo was taken as Joei's friend with a press pass (that's how he got inside) attempted to get back in to hand his pass back. They literally slammed the door on him and made him queue again.
Nice one Hyper Japan guys! Let's hope you're never inclined to host a piss-up in a brewery. We all know how that'd go...

This is a hyper stereo 3D photo taken with my new modified camcorder rig ( stereo-base 24 cm ). To test it I took it to some open fields and took some landscape shots, you can see more results just uploaded on my photo-page.
This is about as wide as I can go with my dual Toshiba S20 Camcorder rig and still keep it portable and practical, it fits whole inside a shoulder bag, I can just turn them on and there ready to shoot.
