Hydro Flask uses these amazing sleeves to protect their product during shipping and advertise (on the sleeves) that they want people to re-use them to help reduce the amount of material that ends up in our oceans and landfills. This lines up perfectly with my ongoing endeavor to print images on recycled material in order to bring awareness to the pollution of our planet.
I have been planning to printing on theses sleeves ever since I saw them and I finally had time to run a test print on the material. I will have to say that I am very pleased with how this turned out. I actually think I found the perfect recycled media to print on and have several ideas that I will be working on over the next few months, so stand by for some amazing pieces of art.
To produce this amazing print I used two coats of Inkaid's Clear Gloss Precoat that I allowed to dry overnight. After it was fully dried I tapped the material to a carrier sheet and ran it through my Epson SureColor P800 and printed directly to the material.
