Launched 1985 the van seated eight passengers and was marketed with the slogan, "make you realize that life is too big for a minivan" in referrance to the Chrysler Minivan.
Engines options ranged from 145 to 190 hp (108 to 142) kW 4.3L V6 engine, depending on options and/or model year. It was also fitted with the 200 hp "W" engine.
The vehicle featured a bolt on subframe incorporating the front suspension from a GM B-body station wagon with a leaf spring rear suspension. The vans were rear wheel drive, but in 1990 an all wheel drive option designed by FF developments became available.The 1990 model year also introduced the hydroboost braking system, a system using the same accessory belt driven pump to supply the power steering and brakes. For 1993 an electronically controlled 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive became standard as the sole transmission offering.

Right: Custom adapter plate to mount Suburban hydroboost to 1994 Jeep ZJ. The adapter plate makes the GM hydroboost unit a bolt in. I chose this method instead of cutting & threading the hydroboost rod to make it adjustable. I want to be able to bolt on an off-the-shelf hydroboost unit in case of failure. If you're interested in mounting a GM hydroboost unit in your vehicle, I have included a link to a Full Size Jeep message board. A member named Elliot sells custom mounts for various vehicles. 2005 OEM Chevy Suburban 1500 Hydroboost unit (15814411) mounted to custom adapter plate. Brass bushing is to reduce hydroboost rod eye bore diameter to fit 1994 ZJ brake pedal pin. The spacing is necessary to locate the brake pedal at the stock height. The 4* mounting angle matches the stock 1994 Jeep ZJ brake vacuum booster. Without the 4* angle the hydroboost rod will bind against the body of the hydroboost unit.
