Punk hydrant with his low slung pants held up by duct tape, and chains from his nose to his ears. Tough guy!
Located by Harbor Square - Edmonds, Washington. Manufactured by M&H Valve. The 1982 date gives a clue of when this area was developed.
This town truck was apparently emptying the fire hydrant. Why it did so into the bed of the truck, I'm not sure. But it looked pretty cool, as though a fish tank in the back had erupted and dumped its water onto the pavement.
I wanted to photograph a bright red fire hydrant that was by dark green grass. I pictured a photograph with nice contrast. I did not take the time to find the right hydrant because I was anxious to finish the film in my Pentax Spotmatic.
