This flower would occasionally bloom on our property at University Place, Washington state. This photograph was taken in 1998. I used my Minolta SRT 100 SLR 35 mm camera as I did not have a digital camera yet.
BUT, in 2022, I captured a beautiful hydrangea in Sister Cities Park in Philadelphia!

Spanish Hydrangea Clerodendrum bungei blooming in my garden. Lovely flower but extremely invasive. Mine have sent runners into my neighbor's yard over 40 ' away. Second photo shows the many plants in my lawn which I have to mow down. Aug. 2021.
Hydrangea macrophylla - It was growing in an extremely sunny location in Putnam County, Carmel,NY. The flower heads were big and pink, blue, lavender or a mixture of these colors! It is also known as: lacecap hydrangea or mophead hydrangea or bigleaf hydrangea.
