My favorites:
Climbing Hydrangea, Hydrangea petiolaris. It's native to the woodlands of Japan, the Korean peninsula, and on Sakhalin island of easternmost Siberia in the Russian Far East. It has naturalised in some local woodland, probably as a garden escape. These dry flowers were still on the plant from summer 2018 and when blossoming are a creamy-white.
Collected in Ealing, London, England, UK.

Even hydrangeas are poisonous! I love hydrangeas in all its stages of development and variety of colors. This is about to bust into a full bouquet. Taken right after a rainstorm.

Instructional video: Happy Folding
Paper: Unryu treated with mc
I finally got to make the hydrangea! Such an interesting fold. The paper was too soft for me to do more levels. Unryu is pretty but dfifficult for me to fold on a small scale.
The Hydrangeas did very well this year, although in general the heads are smaller probably due to the hot summer.
Now some have been dried and form a lovely dash of colour in the room.
Hydrangea, the name, comes from the Greek words "hydro" or water, and "angeion," or vase = water vase, they prefer a lot of water.
A very ancient plant, found in fossils going back thousands of years.
Flower lovers will know that there is a flower language.
Every sentiment is expressed in one form or another by delicate blooms.
Of course, even the experts disagree on the "true meaning" of many flowers and most have different meanings to different people.
So, while all flowers convey thoughtfulness and love, a gift of flowers for a special someone will always create its own personal meaning, too.
HYDRANGEA - Thank You for Understanding.
Have a wonderful day and thank you for your comments with all my heart, M, (*_*)

Botanical Name: Hydrangea paniculata 'Floribunda'
Common Name: Panicled Hydrangea
Family: Hydrangeaceae
Natural Distribution: Garden Origin
IUCN Status: N/A
Taken in a private garden here in Daylesford, Victoria (Australia)...after going through my stash of nursery catalogues, I did notice that Yamina Rare Plants at Monbulk (Victoria) listed this plant...I also went back over my notes and found that I pruned it on the 26th of August 2021...removing all thin wispy stems and cutting back thicker stems to encourage a more consistent flowering...Cheers from a very damp, humid Hepburn after recent thunderstorms...JB 🌲🌲🌲☂

Hydrangea leaves beginning to lose their rich green color, even as they continue to work at putting on new growth.
Hydrangeas are one of my favourite flowers. I love not only the range and shades of colors, but also the fact that they display them all at once on one bush.
This dress will be for sale, I just need to make a nicer petticoat for the set...
Hydrangea, see you next year.
アジサイお疲れ!また来年!
