For the last month and few more weeks, I've been only studying for my highschool exam and lately I've been kept losing sleep..but! During those hard times, I tried to fold something out as possible, so here it is! Another version of Hydralisk! :D
Since I spend most of my time in school, I wasn't able to create anything so complicated, so I chose traditional bases(ex) bird base, frog base, etc) for my new design.. this hydralisk is folded from pure Blintz Frog Base and I'm really proud of it because the way I used to fold this model with that base is quite unique!
This is why I like to design my models with traditional bases! Even though the base might be seen as 'limited', as what you can see from my hydralisk design, it isn't actually 'limited' and the process of making those bases appropriate for the subjects is interesting, it's like making something out of nothing.. :)
Anyway, I've been retired from origami for a long time so the model might not look so good but I hope you guys like it...!!

At the start of my online origami activities,at the start of 'this year', I uploaded a simple hydralisk model. And at the end of this year, I'm uploading a hydralisk again.
From then to now, I have tried lots of hydralisk designs and in the progress of designing, I tried not to follow similar ideas of designing hydralisk designs from other origamists, and yet, I couldn't design a perfect one. Though this one isn't the best as for looking, but the best one at my opinion since this one uses lots of origami techniques, and most of all, I managed to fold the rib! Six ones on each side :D
Well, this one was folded in a hurry so It doesn't look great and in any ways this design might not be satifing to you. Although that! I'm still satisfied with it and..this design is the last design of this year! No, I mean..this one is my last design that I'm uploading and I might not upload any more designs from now on.(I'll probably upload some pictures later but..I'm not sure..)Anyway, Good bye Everyone!! And Happy New Year!!!

Hi guys,I'm back again!
Even though I already said that I'm not going fold starcraft units anymore, for some reasons I had to fold lurkers and hydralisks... :)
Anyway, the photos looks awful, the real thing is way much better..well,I guess this model is just hard to take pictures..

El “Hidralisco” es la subespecie alienígena más feroz y sádica entre los “Zerg”, los hidraliscos son descriptos con una forma serpenteante con crestas y grandes guadañas en sus brazos capaces de cortar un hombre en dos, con una altura de 3.5 metros de alto y un peso de 390kg su aspecto es aterrador y nocivo para cualquier “Terran”; Simbolizando el poder del Enjambre “Zerg” los hidraliscos cuentan con una habilidad muscular para disparar Espinas perforadoras de 30cm a velocidades hipersónicas con un alcance de 300 metros, cada impacto puede perforar las mejores armaduras. (Incluso un leve rasguño de las espinas puede suministra una dosis de veneno paralizante en el torrente sanguíneo que debe ser tratado a tiempo.)
El origen del Hidralisco se remonta a las incursiones en el vacío por parte la “Overmind” que buscando mundos aptos para experimentar con la fauna nativa y obtener adaptaciones útiles para el enjambre Zerg se encontró con una inusual especie nativa llamada Perezoso o vaca-oruga que siendo de comportamiento pacífico y herbívoro cumplía con las expectativas de evolución Zerg, raptados de su hogar los perezosos fueron asimilados y transformados desde su indefensa mandíbula y costillas en una bestia salvaje y agresiva con instinto depredador. (Incluso un vestigio en el Hidralisco es la capacidad para extender una telaraña para constreñir una presa.)
Para enfrentar un “Hidralisco” se recomienda total precaución pese a su comportamiento de animal lento sigue siendo un “Zerg” muy inteligente que buscara emboscar o salir por sorpresa en cualquier terreno; Los puntos débiles son su cabeza y Pecho. (Aun consiguiendo matar al Hidralisco no se garantiza inmunidad contra sus espinas envenenadas.)

The Hydralisk is easily the most versatile breed for the Zerg.
The peaceful herbivore herds of slothien were assimilated into the zerg Swarm to produce one of the fiercest and most diabolical of the zerg strains. The evolutionary matrix of the caterpillar-like slothien was supercharged by the Overmind, twisting the hapless creatures into the nightmarish killers known as hydralisks. These once mild creatures now hunger for blood and violence, and they are infamous for acting in a particularly savage fashion.
The spindly, snake-like hydralisks house hundreds of armor-piercing spines within their upper carapace plates. These spines have been specifically evolved from the defensive urticating hairs of the slothien and adapted to a new purpose. Hydralisks use powerful muscle contractions to launch the spines in volleys at enemies approaching from either the air or the ground.
Hydralisks are especially fond of lying in wait for their prey. Groups of them have been observed burrowing into the ground in the pathway of civilian workers, uncovering themselves when they sense an opponent is near. Ambushing from burrowed positions is a favored hydralisk battle tactic, with hydralisks showing a preference for waiting until an enemy has passed before emerging to attack, or boxing in a group of enemies to destroy them with a deadly crossfire.
Thanks to the remarkable musculature of a hydralisk (4,000 muscles compared to a terran's 629), the penetrative force delivered by a hydralisk spine is quite astounding. A single spine can easily penetrate 2 cm of solid neosteel even at maximum range. Under any circumstances, massed groups of hydralisks should be approached with extreme caution and preferably siege tank support.

Hell, it's about time
Um den besonderen Moment der Ankündigung des sehnlich erwarteten PC-Spiels StarCraft 2 festzuhalten, ist Blizzard stolz darauf, die limitierte Sammlerfigur "Tychus Findlay" präsentieren zu können. Dieses Sammlerstück ist aus einer Zusammenarbeit zwischen dem berühmten Cinematics Team von Blizzard Entertainment und den talentierten Künstlern von Sideshow Collectibles entstanden. Mit dieser 45 cm hohen, detaillierten Figur des terranischen Space-Marines Tychus J. Findlay, der auf einem gerade erlegten Hydralisken steht, können Spieler nun ein Stück StarCraft-Geschichte besitzen. Aus hochwertigem Polystone gegossen und nach hohen Standards von Hand bemalt spiegelt dieses wunderschöne Sammlerstück in Museumsqualität die triumphierende Stärke des terranischen Space-Marinekorps wider.
Mit diesen Worten kündigte Blizzard im November 2007 diese einzigartige Sammlerfigur an. Schon nach wenigen Stunden waren diese restlos ausverkauft. Die Gesamtauflage WELTWEIT liegt bei 1250 Stück.
Diese Figur ist nicht nur die erste zu Starcraft, sie ist die erste Sammelfigur die von Blizzard überhaupt veröffentlicht wurde. Geplant sind weitere Figuren, wohl auch zu anderen Titeln. Wer also eine umfassende Sammlung aufbauen möchte, kommt an dieser Erstauflage nicht vorbei. Ein muss für jeden Fan. Die Qualität ist wie von Sideshow gewohnt beeindruckend. Mit Ihren 38x45 cm wirkt die Figur sehr beeindruckend und ist sehr detailgetreu gefertigt.

It was about..two weeks? After folding that hydralisk,I was totally busy with exams and kendo...:-(...
anyway I got some free time after some exams so I tried to fold something.
Since it's the first model folding this year,I racked my brains what to fold and the conclusion on that was this, Seymour Flux, boss of the game Final Fantasy X.
You may think this is a new design but it's actually the first model that I designed last year(2013);some sort of refold I guess since I changed some parts..
Um..you may think this doesn't look same as the original game character but as you know, not all the origami designs are same as the original things :) in anyway I tried to express lots from simple base so I'm quite satisfied :)
Oh,btw I decided this year origami goal! Since I designed lots of characters from Starcraft last year, this year however,I'm mainly going to fold characters from Final Fantasy. I wish you would like my models this year too! Anyway,I'm heading back to study now..bye!

Hydralisks sử dụng mạnh cơ bắp để phóng ra hàng loạt các chiếc gai đến những đơn vị ở trên mặt đất hay cả trên không.
Hydralisks đặc biệt kiên nhẫn khi nằm chờ con mồi. Một nhóm của chúng quan sát và chui vào lòng đất trên một con đường của những người công nhân, lộ rõ mình khi cảm nhận đối phương đang tới gần. Phục kích từ chỗ độn thổ là một trong những chiến thuật yêu thích của hydralisk, hydralisks thích đợi cho đối phương đi qua trước khi nổi lên để tấn công, hoặc tiêu diệt từng cà nhân trong cả một lực lượng cuối cùng kết thúc bằng một cuộc đột kích..
Nhờ có sự vượt trội cơ bắp của một hydralisk (4000 bắp thịt so với một người terran là 629), các lực lượng bị tấn công bởi những cái gai hydralisk có vẻ khá khiếp sợ. Một cái gai có thể xuyên sâu 2cm vào ngay cả những lớp giáp dày nhất, ngay cả ở khoảng cách tối đa. Dưới bất kỳ trường hợp nào, một nhóm hydralisks vẫn tiếp cận với hết sức thận trọng và khi đối phương được hỗ trợ tốt nhất với Sige Tank.

Thanks to the magic of youtube, i've learned how to convert my cranes, into origami hydralisks! This is for all you SC players :P My brood of hydras.
