One of the rescued orchids has decided to be forgiving:) Every summer, they all 'vacation' out in hanging baskets under a tree. Every year, they get taken down in preparation for a big storm (which may or may not blow thru) and they invariably get sunburnt from being left in the wrong place too long. Some don't recover:( Will this year be any different???

Before the hurricane.

Many homes and businesses along the Dumbo waterfront were seriously damaged in the storm, as the wild waves flooded the streets and buildings.

 

The Galapagos Art Space, along Main Street was almost destroyed.

They reopen November 3, 2012 for their floating Kabarette.
