Spotted on June 2017 @ Penang, Malaysia.

I noticed this Huntsman in the wood chips on our garden, he is about 50mm from leg tip to leg tip across and very hairy. I chased him around for a while managing to get some good shots. The Huntsman can move fairly quickly and they will jump at you...I think the flash did slow him down a bit, I must of blinded him, because he just sat there after a while and let me have my way with him, so to speak, I could actually prod him with a stick to get him to move and he would just amble along to the next pose...!!!...They have incredibly long Pedipalps...!!!

Why I love cheese, on my blog.

Huntsman Cheese Wedge is oil on artists board. In my etsy shop.

After dark, a torchlight search of the gardens around First Beach, Tanjung Aru, revealed white, pinpricks of light on top of every other bush. Closer inspection showed it to be the eyeshine from many Huntsmen spiders waiting for a hapless moth or beetle to land close enough for them to catch.

Unwelcome guest in our house.

Was caught and released outside to find somewhere else to call home.
