To Hull & Back. Yesterday (25/03/2025) was the occasion of the annual ‘Train trip with my brother’ day out. This year we chose Kingston upon Hull, or simply Hull to absolutely everyone. Given that we only had 3 hours to explore the city, we didn’t get much further than the busiest bus station exit I’ve ever seen!! Go-Ahead’s East Yorkshire and Stagecoach East Midlands are the dominant operators and, as I hadn’t been there since 1987, there was no danger of any photo repetition some 38 years later! I’ve no idea how well I did capturing all the different bus types to be seen, but it was an enjoyable day out nonetheless.
Hull Trains 180110 heads through Newark with a Kings Cross-Hull service, 30.12.14. It might make a decent spot for a steam tour.
