Hot Toys Man of Steel figure

De-labelled though i'm not quite sure why I did as i've no custom labels to replace them, HT Wrightbus New Routemaster based bus.

Not new to Poundland and of course i've bought many before but enough time has elapsed to go back and appreciate them. HT do make this casting in many other colours but at Poundland its take it or leave it red which in all fairness is its most well known. Not bad at all for a budget effort in a market which has all but abandoned pocket money priced small scale double decker bus models.

Mint and boxed.

Here in 1982 No.1478 a DAB of HT new the previous year had crossed the bridge onto Amager Island on it's way to Sundbyvester Platz.

Some progress this week! Still lots to do and lots of waiting on materials to arrive...

When Copenhagen's PTE named HT came into being in 1974 it retained the old Copenhagen livery but by 1984 when DAB bodied Scania arrived it had been replaced by a less subtle bright yellow scheme. It is seen having crossed the bridge onto Amager Island.

What a big bed I have ! - Apr 2009

When the Copenhagen PTE (HT) was set up in 1974 it acquired the operators in it's various zones but the Independent concerns were allowed to remain as contractors. But even they one by one started to sell out and rather than do an expensive paint job HT making it more interesting continued to run them in their old colours like seen in 1982 No.7015 a 1978 DAB which still carried it olf number 015 . With Gule Busser of Glostrup (Yellow Bus) till 1980.

When it comes to modelling pocket money 1/64 toy vans certain names crop up time and time again. Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, Ford Transit, Ford Econoline, Chevrolet G20 etc....but rarely an Iveco Daily! For such a high selling commercial vehicle first introduced way back in 1990, the previous Daily was badged a Fiat, I can only really think of Siku who have given it ago.

Thus it was a surprise to see this rather smart looking Fire Rescue Ambulance model using an early Daily cab design.

Made by a company who use the HT brand on their packaging this is no cheapo lash up, unlicensed yes, but very well cast in pretty much every respect.

Part of a four vehicle set sourced from China not surprisingly ;-p
