I risked damage to my camera to bring you this photo. It helped that I had been previously seeing how close I could stand to the fire for as long as I could stand. It was pleasant in a dry sauna kind of way, but dehydrating. I really wanted to get them to rake out the coals for fire walking, but they were a bit timid and the fire wouldn't be burning out probably for another 12 hours after we left.
Way too hot to be watering flowers with temps still well over 100 degrees at nightfall. They probably won't last much longer at this rate, but it's just too hot!!
