well summer has arrived in my little corner of the world. Moday and Tuesday were brutal, Tuesday with temperatures topping 40 celcius with the humidex. I was very popular by Tuesday cause I arrived at work prepares with enough cool teats for an entire school, but $10 I've spent in ages. But it has cooled off a bit, hopefully I'll make it through the next 3 1/2 weeks without a heat repeat.

Hot day, purple tongue, HCS!

THe ladiez catching a few rays; Valentina has a few stains she needs to fade on the sun lounger with a few pink drinks and a pink friend.

Tuesday said sun is for LOOSERS but I think she's in a huff because she doesn't have a matching cossie.

I don't think that Michelle would be overly impressed.

Extremely hot--the hottest naturally grown pepper. They had remained green on the plant up into the frosty weekend here that preceded Sandy. That Saturday, I pulled the plants up and hung them upside down in my basement, hoping for the best; and, to my delight, they indeed did turn. Anyone for some salsa? :-O

I had my Flickr settings messed up somehow, so when I logged in, it had looked like no one at all had been around. Tonight I'll have to get "caught up." I've not been around too much as it is--I'm something of a political junkie, so that's where my mind has been--though I would like to say how extremely glad I am that it is over.

52 of 2011: Week #22: Hot Hot Hot

I still haven't processed my shot for last week's theme, "Classic Still Life" (totally messed up what day it was. I'm thinking it's Friday and that I had another day left to do my post, but it was Saturday. Errghh! I blame advancing age.) and this week was running out without a shot for the "Hot Hot Hot" theme. I was determined not to fall behind another week, so I just threw some water in a pot, and let it boil. Desperate times call for desperate measures. And, it really is Hot Hot Hot. :)

(#25 in my "At least I took a picture" series.)
