William Langford, in 1852 after the arrival of the telegraph in Bristol, made a clock which was telegraphically regulated to keep GMT; it sent signals to other clocks in the city, including the cathedral clock. It is now deteriorating badly.

I wanted a California dial in my collection and my other Tandorio was huge bang for the buck and I really liked the look of the "café latte" color scheme. Some watches are easier than other to shoot. This watch is a homage/clomage of the Ballon Bleu De Cartier but produced in China by Pablo Raez. This is my second Pablo watch. The first one was a homage/clomage of the Cartier Tank. That watch cost me $10USD I had a little extra money in my pocket so I purchased this watch and it cost me $13USD! 🤔 These are your standard China quartz movements but basically rock solid with an actual leather watch band. This is too dressy for most of my day-to-day but, I love shooting it!

I wanted to do a blog post about adding straps to your watches to really customize your vibe. So, I went out to Red Rock to shoot these images. I am really more of a watch bracelet kind of guy but amazing how these different straps change the vibe.
I received this new bracelet that I wanted to update this cool watch with and it worked out great I thought!

A 1960s Metamec “sputnik” themed mantel clock with its original battery operated electric movement, in good working order. When the company started clock manufacture, it made its own movements but this one has a German movement by the firm Diehl.
Metamec (Metalwork & Mechanics) of Dereham in Norfolk, started in 1941 as an offshoot of the Jentique furniture manufacturer, producing wooden cases for instrument and bombs during WW2. In around 1947 they started making high end clocks, becoming prolific producers of quality timepieces. In the 1980s they suffered from German and Far Eastern competition, being bought out in 1985 by FKI of Halifax. The Dereham site was run by Ross Consumer Electronics until 1995 when the factory closed down. Clocks are still produced today under the Metamec name, in Derbyshire.
