Between 20 July – 27 September 2015, The Big Hoot featured 85 5ft 5in owls installed around Birmingham and its suburbs.
"Selfie" was designed by Martin Band and is covered in chrome-painted discs to mimic the neighbouring Selfridges building. At the end of the event it was sold for £11,000 at a charity auction.
As we were exploring this abandoned homestead an owl flew from out of the window in the front and soared around the area.
Frik the Indian Eagle Owl lives at Groombridge Place in Kent and loves showing off his skills to the visitors ... ☺

Hoots Hollows is a magnificent display of over 40 owls from around the World, most of them rescued. It is one of the highlights of any visit to Manor Farm.
It is one of the largest collections in the UK, and is housed in a splendid set of aviaries, with a purpose-built Arena where you can get close to some of the owls, learn more about them, and maybe even get to hold one!
i have a serious addiction. i know. the first step is admitting.
oh, and the living room floors are finished. whooo-hoooo.

This was my second attempt at trying to get a decent shot of this beauty...(my first attempt bombed out)....Both Darlin and Griz were barking at it and it never budged an inch......4 hours later l'm out walking the dogs and it's still there.....and it let me take more shots of it!!! :)
