Ancient rusty garden edging hoops at the Botanic Gardens, with a select few turned gold by direct rays of the late evening sun.
California towhee
While this is a common rather dull bird in California and the photo is not stellar, I couldn't help but post this as it is a perfect demonstration of the phrase "jumping through hoops".

Pure joy to watch the artistry that these Native American dancers displayed at this Powwow. These men dancers are brothers. The fabulous colors, the drummers and the pure excitement that one feels just being here. If you haven’t been to a Powwow you owe it to yourself to see it, hear it and enjoy the food and hand made items being offered for sale. Thanks for viewing my work. De Hoop was built in 1846. In 1900, a steam engine was installed. This was replaced by a petrol engine in 1910. The mill ceased working by wind in 1931, after which its condition deteriorated. The mill was restored in 1951 by Beyk of Afferden, Gelderland, but not to working order. The mill was bought by the Gemeente Arnhem in 1975. In 1977, the mill was restored to working order, and officially opened on National Mills Day, 1978. wikipedia

I was so happy that I found this game this morning. Yesterday I watched a video on how to make my own hoop but don't have the time. I have so many more ideas but am limited to creating the images for which I can find the props.
I think she may get a technical called for hanging on the rim ;).
