I don't remember where I took this, but I'm thinking it must have been in the window of a head shop somewhere. I'm not sure it pays to advertise this sort of thing, but it is a pretty cool neon sign.

Many a water-filtered smoking pipe continues to burn at Vancouver’s two hookah cafés, despite an order from city hall for these traditional Middle Eastern lounges to shut down by August 31. Showing the Love of the Hookah Smoka.

This shoot was a lot of fun, This is for DenDim magazine based in Shenzhen China. They gave me 4 days to have final photos for print production, Well photography is not my main job [Oh how I wish it was!] I just do this for the love of it. Tanya [model] is a very good friend of mine she sells “hookah-Shisha” and designs them too. We gave her the name Hookah Master!
Anyways she called me Sunday which I totally forgot that we were supposed to have a photoshoot me and my GF got up at 3pm mending a hangover from last night gig [Oh I do also play in a band]. Tanya and Peri came I set-up the light and Taz [My GF] started the make-up for Tanya. After an hour some guys came to visit!!! I forgot AGAIN that we also invited people to our apartment for a Russian & Ukraine food fest… It was a total cluster F@)K.
The highlight of that day was when Peri slip a hash on Tanya’s Hookah [he is known for his pranks] before the shoot - after 30mins of shoot Tanya have to sit on the couch because she was so high. As soon as everybody found out there was a hash on the hookah everybody jump on it. HAHAHAHA!

this captures typical skidmore for me. the dorm room and the company is cozy, the dress is whatever, the hookah is flowing along with the love, and the expression is complete satisfaction.
~ Believe it or not, this is a video~dvd and music shop, diversifying into selling paan and hookah~sheesha products. They have all kinds of products, including the gold-plated hookah, priced at £300. I've only tried sheesha once, in Lahore, and we sampled apple flavour. It's not something I could get used to, and I won't be doing it again...
Culturally, it is still used in more traditional areas mostly rural, in countries like Pakistan, where even women use hookah; one of my elderly aunts switched to cigarettes when she was not able to fill up the chillum herself, for herself - a small pleasure throughout her life - when she became infirm at around age eighty!
