This MOC is meant to evoke classic 1970s-era open-cab hook and ladder trucks. Serious model builders avert your eyes -- I don't know anything about fire trucks, just having fun.

The goal of this series of fire trucks is to add period character while using standard LEGO City 6-wide truck techniques, dimensions, and parts -- easy to build and playable.

so, I was unhooking a nice big king salmon, and managed to catch a 5/0 barbed Gamakatsu in the finger, and since this hook was still tied to the other hook that was still in the fish, his thrashing all around managed to really slam it in there. Once I got the fish cut loose and released, I got the pliers out and pushed the hook farther in so that the barb was clear, cut the hook in half and pulled it out. Took a couple days before it stopped being sore....

Like many armchair quarterbacks, I am urging my team on during the National Football League playoffs. If only they would take my suggestion and use a Hook and Ladder trick play!!

The Sandy Hook Lighthouse, located about one and a half statute miles (2.4 km) inland from the tip of Sandy Hook, New Jersey, is the oldest working lighthouse in the United States. It was designed and built in 1764 by Isaac Conro. (wikipedia)

It 's a lovely lighthouse and we go there every now and then to enjoy Sandy Hook.

Part of the pre-game celebrations at Darrell K. Royal - Texas Memorial Stadium before the #1 ranked Texas Longhorns play #11 Missouri on a spectacular Fall evening in Austin, Texas.

BTW, I realize that in some cultures around the world this hand gesture is not very nice. But in this context it is a positive thing--a show of support for the Texas Longhorns.

Remember hooks & eyes? Difficult to fasten & fiddly to sew!

Captain Hook looks like he doesn't want anyone entering the shops in the UK pavilion.

This basic hook case is from a pattern in "Love... crochet" by Carol Meldrum. Simple and quick to make.

Not even looked at a camera in nearly 6 months let alone use it. Bored and going through old files. This is the ever photographed Hook Lighthouse South county Wexford.
