Spent most of yesterday catching up on stuff I should have done over the weekend,Even though the weather was spot on for some Landscape photography and I was more than eager to get out there, It just didn't happen, I've more free time on my hands at the moment than I've had in years, I still seem to be very very time poor. (Sound Familiar Anyone?). After reading through some recipe books and having not used the camera all day, I just had to...................
Raw converted in PSE7, Apart from that and the border straight out of camera.
We keep the homework desk in the dining room. I just cleaned it off yesterday - and feel really good about it today!
It's a place for the kids to stash their take-home folder (containing homework) and a quiet place to work. it opens up and contains supplies too.
Leo prefers to work at the dining room table, but thinks the homework desk is a nice spot anyway.

As a student, I take my academics very seriously as I am trying to eventually get into a Physician's Assistant program. School has always been important to me so doing the best I can academically has always been fundamental in my life, so studying and getting homework done is essential to me and my future. School has always taken priority number 1 ever since I could remember. It has been a significant challenge this semester to keep it as my number one priority because being that it is my last semester, I've struggled with wanting to hang out and go out with my friends and boyfriend instead of studying. However, knowing that I have to apply to PA programs this year, my grades needed to be the best they could instead of letting them slip due to already being in a program. This knowledge has kept me striving for the best grades I can and pushing for all nighters to get the work done while also making time to see friends. Wherever I could, I whipped out my computer to continue knocking out school work to make the end of the day a little light on what I had to accomplish. In this picture, I had a break and was able to get my computer out in the Union between class and a meeting.
Manual focus, F29, Iso 100, auto white balance, jpeg, rule of thirds, landscape, lead in lines......... does that about fit the bill......??
One of Hayley's recent homework assignments was to draw and color a scarecrow, then write a story with 4-5 sentences about it.
My daughter's sixth grade teacher gets "tough" before letting anyone leave homework club, which she holds after school Wednesday.
More homework. This is the edited version of my backyard, meaning that I left out the raggedy clothesline and the back fence. Oh yeah, and all of the transients that walk along said fence. Macy kept sitting in the same spot in front of me, so I eventually just added her in there. Some of the shading is funky, but it's because there is a horrible "drapery study" peeking through from the next page. Seriously, it's horrible.
Graphite, One hour
Hahaha.... Writing a full page of folio without any mistakes and must submitted in 1 week. Everybody was stress at that time... o_0
Here is my beautiful girl writing a story for her literacy homework. She was given three certain things to include in her story, a boy named Jack who was the richest boy in town, a public park and a small candle.
She decided to write a story about Jack having a birthday party which was actually a circus in the park. I love childrens imagination, she added some interesting things into her story, eg. candy floss tress, giant wonka bar, pick a mix path, and my favourite....a massive fish tank with dolphins and turtles.
She wrote a great story and seemed to really enjoy it.

Victor is quizzing his boy in Spanish. They've also been working on geography and some Boy Scout requirements.
Kids and homework still don't mix. Being subjected to 4 hours of homework and studies will send the most patient kid into bouts of impatience and urge to just run off and play. The Agathians Shelter is one organisation helping in giving them a future, if you have never pledged for a cause before, giving these children a living and a future is a noble deed and you will have made a difference.
