For Smile on Saturday's #fluffy theme
This fluffy creation was my son's art homework, helping him learn about the colour wheel.
Processed in a few ways (black and white, then a curves adjustment, then a bit of decreased saturation on top) to tone down the colours.
Dag op dag twee maanden na de foto van de 1332 in Soignies kreeg ik opnieuw Alstompower voor de lens en meer bepaald dan nog in treinschakeling.
Op 18 november hadden de kinderen pedagogische studiedag. In niet-corona tijden wil dat dan zeggen dat ik een dag vrijaf neem om op de kinderen te letten, terwijl mama in de school staat (ja voor leerkrachten is dat gewoon een werkdag als een andere).
Dit jaar was het wel even anders: de studiedag zou gewoon van thuis uit plaats vinden, met digitale vergaderingen enzovoorts.
Om niet te veel last te bezorgen, besloot ik erop uit te trekken met de jongste zoon. Het was dan ook nog eens stralend weer en zo vertrok ik rond negen uur 's morgens in Halle: bestemming lijn 35. Ik had ongeveer twee uur tijd om hier langs het spoor te staan: ik had beloofd om tegen 13 uur terug thuis te zijn. Soms wens ik wel eens dat ik iets dichter tegen deze drukke goederenlijn woon ;-)
Enfin, lang moest ik niet wachten op de eerste goederentrein richting Hasselt, want toen ik in Langdorp aankwam toonde het sein van het tegenspoor rood knipperend. ik wist wat dit te betekenen had: de eerste foto werd dan ook gemaakt terwijl de wagen gewoon in het midden van de weg stond :-)
Als tweede goederentrein was het dan de beurt aan deze extra staaltrein van Gent naar Kinkempois.

The month of November 2020 brought us a lot of sunshine. And as I had a day off at work on the 18th November 2020, I decided to go to the surroundings of Langdorp and Testelt with my youngest son, so giving way to my wife for HomeWorking without interferences ;-)
The traffic was dense on this morning and so I didn't had to wait longtime for freight trains. In fact, for the first one I had even not the time to park my car decently.
This one was the second one on that morning: two locos of class 13 are heading in direction of Diest with a steel train from Gent to Kinkempois.

As students in school we all had days when we weren’t able to attend class. Might be that you had a contagious disease or you broke some important bones needed to support your body as you were shoved down the hall to class. Or it could be your parents were taking you out of school because they made you go on vacation (Brit: holiday). Not guilty, right? You, of course, had no control over that! Or it might be something supremely vital to your mental well being like you just got a new puppy. We all know what’s more important, don’t we? You can solve a page of math story-problems any time, but your first day with a new puppy only happens once in a lifetime.
But the pits is that when you got back to school there was Miss Schultz with that zombie glare in her eye handing you a pile of books and math homework to last you several lifetimes. Or worse still your mother collected it _before_ you went on vacation and you were expected to work at least 20 minutes each day on it interrupting your designated, mandatory vacation time. Of course, that never worked out because your parents understood that if you felt like it you could dump the whole pile into the motel swimming pool by “accident.”
