Day after day the wood rotted away and nature slowly took over the garden, until only a complete make-over could help the bungalow to survive...
We started in the hallway for the flooring project. I think most of the challenges took place in this part of the project.

Found 2 large rocks that had been dug up during the drainage work. The first was easily loaded in the bucket. The second was pretty close to the house so it was a chance to use the backhoe to move it into the open before picking it up.
...And the old stud wall with it!

Proud Wine Cellar, using some fancy clickable wine rack modules that anchor (and anchored) to the wall. But disaster is lurking in the wings ...
After purchasing a new sectional I decided to add brick as an accent color to the room. Bought a new lampshade and some paint and a few throw pillows. For $65 got a new fresh look to my living room!
We start by emptying out the space. The shelves go up into the craft room. The contents go out into the living room for Margie and Ginger to sort.
Kay took this after-the-fact shot, showing how we're already filling up the closet rack (albeit mostly with laundry).
A portion of our driveway and an additional pad were poured today. Grandma made sure to have the boys put their hand marks in it while Mom and Dad were at work.
A prayer mat or prayer rug is usually a square piece of cloth, sometimes even a large pile rug, utilized by Muslims and some Christians for daily prayer. During prayer, one must find a place in the house that is free from distractions and in order to do that, one must kneel on the ground or the floor, bow their heads, and prostrate. redcarpets.ae/prayer-mats-dubai/

A leak in the pipe had let mud in, blocking the down pipe. Which then backed up and leaked through the crack.

Gah! The Great Wine Rack Collapse! (Only 5 bottles lost, miraculously.) The plastic clips anchoring the racks to the wall just snapped.
This used to hold all my sewing/craft stuff in the office, but we moved it into the garage to make room for the new lockers we bought...
it used to be the world's skinniest closet, but isn't this better?

he built shelves in our hallway closet too, converting it into a linen closet.
My new bathroom from the hallway. See that shelf on the left. I refished that and each shelf is dedicated to memoirs of my grandparents.
