The home development with the cake trays had it's limit. Scratches from the effort to de-bonding the film from it's super flat base. A cropped image from the full frame as my scanner is limited to scan up to medium format.

Exposed at iso 80 and developped in 1+3 Perceptol, 13 min
So on Monday we had another clear night with the stars out shining bright so i decided to try out an extreme long exposure on my AE-1 using a shutter release.
I intended on shooting from 22:00pm through till 04:30am then closing the shutter. But to my surprise when i walked out into the garden i discovered that the camera shutter had closed by itself. So i couldn't enclose the exposure time in the Exif data as i have no idea of how long the shutter was open for. I guess it stayed open for around 2 hours due to the length of the faint trails.
Also at the beginning of the exposure the moon was situated directly behind the camera and in this shot a lens flare looked as though it had crept it from the moons movement.
I'm aware that the AE-1 has an electronic shutter so it may have shut if the battery was getting low or if anyone knows weather the camera meters still in bulb mode and shuts on its own accord to prevent photos from over exposing. Mysteries!
