Taken for the Macro Mondays theme of vintage. This is a part of an antique oil lamp - this is the knob which raises the wick in the lamp.

I haven't shot a macro in a while - so here is one from a recent trip to a local prairie.
Sorry I can't identify the bug ... my entomology knowledge is to those I tie for fly fishing.

This dark rose pink Crepe Myrtle is a striking tree loaded with blooms. It gives beautiful color to people’s yards and to my photostream. Okay, now I have flowers out of my system for awhile. HMM

After working 12 hours in a slightly but not by much cooler day. I had to think of what I could shoot for HMM. So here is an old typewriter and with it we have a small figure with a broom that is most definitely a push/pull thing.
I love this old typewriter. It has been in the basement and needs to come upstairs.
