I thought I would share this cute card design using a brad to make a hinged layer underneath which is a special message. The card also opens up so you have lots of space inside to write as well. I used images from Gina K. Designs for this card that I hope will bring lots of cheer to a sweet little girl.

much as before, this was created by hand in 'hinge' lab, from two bits of flat metal and a length of rod for use as the pin, using a design specified by the technicians in class; but this photograph has sultry shadows.

The Winona, Ontario Peach Festival is the kick-off for this regions fall fair season. As its name implies its theme is a celebration of the peach harvest in this fruit-Belt community and is an opportunity to experience the traditional carnival atmosphere along with the usual crafts stands and, most importantly, food featuring the local peach crop samples.

The carnival crews transport all their equipment in suitably brightly coloured transports and trailers. This shows one of them very tightly framed to capture the bright pink and the contrasting hinge and door frame in an abstract. - JW

This is a hand-held shot using a Nikon D5000 fitted with Nikkor 18-105mm VR lense set to 105mm, ISO200, Aperture priority mode, f/8.0, 1/500 sec. PP in GIMP: minor tone curve adjustment, sharpen, add border and scale to 1024 wide for posting.
