What started during the Covid pandemic has become a sort of annual tradition on our street. If you build it, they will come.
At Stephen Morrisey's goodbye party, his cheap ass corkscrew breaks off in a bottle of superfine 1994 Smith Woodhouse port.
All of these are photos Mike took of that crazy 2 oven, Thanksgiving
out in the Northfork that included the best, most wild inebriation
stories, Tammy's German man toy and much wine drinking. I had one of
the best Thanksgivings ever. I most remember some of those stories -
officially, I know WAY too much about anyone lucky enough to be there
that weekend. Mel and I were definitely up later after than almost
everyone else laughing our asses off over numerous glasses of wine. It
was probably that weekend I got to know Mel as well as I do, and of
course, can't help but love her.

This is Susan (with the bad highlights), the resident "asks lots of personal questions" person. And Jeff again, and Christy, a real sweetheart who makes a mean batch of sangria.
I had the flu, popped bubble wrap, saw Sam and the fishes, and listened to the best damned music ever.

Joel Watson of the killer webcomic hijinksensue.com. Pretty much my first stop at HeroesCon. His archive book of past webcomics is pretty much a must have for any geek pop culture fan.
(For a look at Joel's Sketch in my book, which is just brilliant, you view that here: www.flickr.com/photos/kivus/4670473725/in/pool-1472687@N22)

Although we're currently busy preparing for our upcoming Warhol Reimagined show at Project One gallery, we made sure to check out the amazing ensemble of talented artists participating in Gallery Hijinks group show entitled "The Letter Collector".
Hijinks states that "The Letter Collector is curated with the intention to exhibit both emerging and established artists in one massive group show based on the common love of type and script. Stemming from immensely different backgrounds, each artist creates their unique translation of a letter in the alphabet. The viewer will experience an assortment of letters expressed through a range of mediums: drawing, painting, photography, neon, wood, relief sculpture, and mixed media. "

I met Peter Gronquist about a year ago and immediatly connected to this out-of-the-box thinker and artist. Gronquist is well known for his Gucci rocket launchers, chain saws, and other art works that feature high end brand names on weapons of destruction. No stranger to utilyzing taxidermy in his works, where animal's horns have been replaced by gold plated AK-47s, Gronquist continues to juxtapose luxury with nature while bringing up questions about money, culture, and society.
