Although we're currently busy preparing for our upcoming Warhol Reimagined show at Project One gallery, we made sure to check out the amazing ensemble of talented artists participating in Gallery Hijinks group show entitled "The Letter Collector".

Hijinks states that "The Letter Collector is curated with the intention to exhibit both emerging and established artists in one massive group show based on the common love of type and script. Stemming from immensely different backgrounds, each artist creates their unique translation of a letter in the alphabet. The viewer will experience an assortment of letters expressed through a range of mediums: drawing, painting, photography, neon, wood, relief sculpture, and mixed media. "

It seems as if we have picked up an extra cart full of kids on our way back. I suspect these spare children will be sold in the farmer's market if their parents are not found.

San Francisco based artist Gregory Ito produces work that is both thought provoking and highly conceptual. His latest show entitled "Point of Vision" (which premiered at Gallery Hijinks in early August) highlights the artist's drive to create more than just pretty pieces of art. The show delves into concepts of time, how we perceive it, and intrinsically touches upon what it's like to be human.

We first really got to know artist David Bayus during our trip to the Art Basel this past year in Miami. His ideas regarding art, and concepts push both photography and oil painting into new realms altogether. "Bad Casserole" at Gallery Hijinks is no exception and we're definitely excited to see that Bayus has continued to take his work to a new level.
