A shot of the main entrance to the offices where I work A lovely cool and airy building, but it looks completely different from the outside (see the photo me@work (i) for the contrast). Oh, did I mention to say it was HDR?

The first trial of TS-E 24 II + 10 stop IR-ND of Formatt Hightech, which became one of my favourite.

Mode Gakuen Cocoon Tower (completed in 2008) is a 50-storey, 204-metre (669 ft) building located in Tokyo’s distinctive Nishi-Shinjuku high-rise district and contains 3 different schools: Tokyo Mode Gakuen (fashion), HAL Tokyo (IT and digital contents) and Shuto Iko (medical treatments and care). The building's elliptic shape, wrapped in a criss-cross web of diagonal lines, embodies the "cocoon" concept.

This shape permits more ground space to be dedicated to landscaping at the building’s narrow base, while the narrow top portion of the tower allows unobstructed views of the sky.

Nestled in the centre of Paris since 1977, the Centre Pompidou building, a glass and metal structure bathed in light, resembles a heart fed by monumental arteries in bright primary colours. Envisioned by its two architects, Renzo Piano and Richard Rogers, as a genuinely living organism, it is also built in one of the capital’s oldest districts and the beating heart of Paris since Medieval times, the Beaubourg plateau.

After the sun set the colors on this evening got even more intense! This may very well be the most beautiful photo of the whole trip!

I only made minimal adjustments in Lightroom the exposure was near perfect.

The main catamaran regatta in Germany is the SailGP series, which, with the Germany SailGP Team (including co-founder Sebastian Vettel), organizes spectacular races on high-tech foil catamarans off Sassnitz on Rügen, most recently in August 2025 and planned again for August 22nd and 23rd, 2026. 😎👍
