A High Standard HSA-15 Rifle is pictured. This example is the Model TX6550, which is one of multiple configurations of the HSA-15 that is offered by High Standard. A number of aftermarket accessories are installed on the pictured rifle including a Trijicon TA31RCO–A4CP Scope, a Knight's Armament Company M5 Rail Adapter System, MantaRails rail covers, and Grip Pod System vertical grip /bipod. Model TX6550 rifles are chambered to fire the 5.56 x 45 mm NATO cartridge (.223 Remington). It is 39 inches in overall length and has a 20 inch chrome lined barrel. The rifling rate of twist is 1 in 7, which is the same as found on the military M16A4 rifle.
My Ruger Mark II Standard and the pistol that was my fathers for as long as I can remember... the High Standard Double-Nine, Nickle Plated Double Action 9-Shot Western Style Revolver - 22 LR. Both of these are the best shooting pistols I have ever used! Highly accurate straight shooting well balanced firearms! :-)
An exquisite mosaic on the Palazzo del Governo of Trieste (the city's town hall). I don't remember exactly, but I think these mosaics represent historical personalities linked to Trieste (and since it was for a long time a part of the Austro-Hungarian empire, the man pictured has probably some relation to the Habsburgs).
THIS is art. Not the outlandish postmodern stuff which passes under the name of "art" today and serves talentless crooks as a means to earn easy money.
Best viewed in large size to appreciate the fine details.
The big one is a Rock Island Armory Tactical 1911, the smaller one is the High Standard Compact Crusader. Haven't shot them yet but in terms of fit, finish, and feel they are both miles above my other 1911, and the pair only cost about a grand.

Incidentally, Standards.next is still looking for a new design, highlighting amongst others canvas & svg, instead of just css3 like mine did.

This was simply exquisite. After my meal, I was walking my MinPin, and saw a pizza delivery driver entering the neighborhood. I asked if he was going to my address. He said, "No." I replied, "Good, because if you were, you'd have been misled, because I don't eat that poop." It took him a minute to figure it out, but he proceeded with a grin. I love putting little sparks in people's days with wit.

Every year we carve several pumpkins and try to do something a little different. We've had pumpkins carved like Uncle Fester, Bob Marley, Jerry Garcia, and Jim Morrison, not to mention several other things that aren't springing to mind right now.
Seriously, we have people who seem to come to the house more for the pumpkins than anything else, taking pictures of them and recounting what we had in previous years! It is a good standard to have to live up to!
Here are our pumpkins for 2009, minus Tristan's pumpkin, which hadn't been carved yet.

Process: The materials relate to the idea because the girl's softball team is comprised of athletes and coaches and with the guidance and leadership of the coaches they can become pro athletes and be held at a highstandard.
