The Arts Council and Princeton Public Library will host an informal exhibition reception with the artists whose work is currently displayed on the second floor.

The Arctists Collective was founded in 2011 by The Arc Mercer - an organization serving the greater Mercer County area providing individuals with developmental disablities exposure to a variety of social, recreational, and vocational opportunities within our community.

The Arctists Collective strongly believes artists with physical challenges, artists who do not speak, and even artists who do not recognize the presence of others around them can exhibit and sell their work competitively alongside that of other contemporary artists-without any of the typical prejudices or hierarchies that serve only to reinforce the marginalization of people with disabilities.

When a piece of art is sold, fifty percent of the proceeds are paid directly to the artist(s) and the remaining proceeds support the supplies and program needs of the Collective as a whole to ensure its continued sustainability

Wet day: does this affect popularity?

Six items where chosen, then listed in order of importance, with amount of detail varying from least to most important.

Problem: Create four 10 inch by 10 inch compositions using supplied body copy, where the emphasis of one is on the title, another is on a word, another is on the text, and the last one is on a letter.

Solution: I used a slab serif font to make the word look angular, like blocks. The word recurs inside itself, suggesting that it is being built. The body copy is also built up from the word.
