Fiat Nuova 500

Small car from the motor vehicle manufacturer Fiat (1957-1975)

The Fiat 500 (also known as the "Cinquecento") from 1957 to 1975 was a small car from the motor vehicle manufacturer Fiat. After the Fiat 600 (Type 100) became the successor to the old 500 Topolino in 1955, the Fiat board of directors under Vittorio Valletta considered it necessary to develop a new entry-level model. Ideas for a small car with an engine of around 400 cc had already existed in the Fiat Group since the 1930s. The then head of passenger car development, Dante Giacosa, then developed the Fiat 500 (Type 110), which was built from 1957. Giacosa described the circumstances surrounding the development of the vehicle and the production process in his autobiography I miei 40 anni di progettazione alla Fiat (My 40 years of project development at Fiat), published in 1979.

We have not seen many nice day's this year like this one we had today, it turned out to be just beautiful after a rainy night into early morning whin it finally cleared up around 10:00 A.M. and got progressively better on into the afternoon.

Goetheschule Wetzlar

When I took this photo and others, I was still sitting on a bench on the school grounds.

What I didn't know was that I was under video surveillance.

After 12 minutes, the security guard arrived and kindly asked me to leave the school grounds.

Up on Hessian Hill in Cornish late this afternoon there is still a lot of foliage color, although most of the maple trees have lost there leaves there are still some that have not.

The oak trees have now replaced the maples with shades of burnt orange and they are looking exceptional this year.

A cropped shot of today's sunset using 18-55 mm Nikon kit lens which quit working right after I took this shot.

The lens has been giving me trouble when trying to auto-focus for about three weeks and today it finally ceased to focus at all and the barrel is sticking badly, I think it's dead.

Time to buy another 18-55 mm as I really like that lens plus I don't think they are all that expensive, I should be able to pick one up on Ebay for cheap money.

This is a bee bomb pouch. The "Bee bomb" in the front of the picture is meant to be thrown onto the ground and watered liberally. Eventually there will be species of wildflowers native to Britain and are perfect pollinators to help bring the bees back. The forget me nots were added to give the hessian pouch a bit of colour HMM
