This is Jimi Hendrix gravesite. Its located at the Greenwood Memorial Park in Renton washington. I was on my way to Seattle one day when I decided to do something a little different and I went to pay Jimi a visit.

What does Jimi Hendrix have to do with
the Viet Nma war? Just about everything ! The music of Hendrix, the Doors and all the other 60's groups was just as much of a presence as as the gunfire and the chaos of the War.

Jimi Hendrix (November 27, 1942 – September 18, 1970) was an American guitarist, singer and songwriter. Hendrix is considered one of the greatest and most influential guitarists in rock music history.[1] After initial success in England, he achieved worldwide fame following his 1967 performance at the Monterey Pop Festival. Later, Hendrix headlined the iconic 1969 Woodstock Festival.
Why I love him - One of the most unique and creative musicians to ever live. Jimi Hendrix created some of the most revolutionary music of his time. It wasn't until after his death that it was truly appreciated by the mass public. My favorites include Voodoo Child (Slight Return) and Hey Joe.

Bangor Craftivist first open get together, making re-useable shopping bags. Six of us met at the Greenhouse community centre and had an enjoyable evening of crafting, tea and cake :)
We all put slogans and logos on our bags which inspire us and make a statement that we feel is important to share. When we are filling our bags with shopping, or using them for our swimming kit(!) they will remind us or someone else who sees them, and might spark some interesting conversations!
