Hulk Smash. Smash Pumpkins.
Sometimes humanity must offer a sacrifice to the automotive gods in the form of heaps of shredded tires. Therefore, the Hellcat was given form.
Large, In Charge and Lowwwwwww. The YP Garage gave this example 'The Treatment'. This beast came out the other side 8w, slammed, seats 2 and yes it rolls. Technically, it scrapes. At very, very high speeds.
I hope you enjoy!
The Fighter Collection's Grumman F6F Hellcat making good use of the Old Warden corner in or around 1995.
Small, cheap, and underarmored, with repulsorlifts that tend to fail when landing and a pathetically light armament, the Hellcat at first glance seems a poor choice for a space-superiority fighter. But as any Hellcat pilot will tell you, the craft's legendary maneuverability and thrust-to-weight ratio make all the other problems pale in comparison.
Yes, I know, the "backstory" is hopelessly cliched :P This is a rebuild of Spook's Hellion.

This is Mass Directive's famous Hellcat Low Orbit, Atmoshperic Fighter. Highly effective in the Ion War Skirmishes, the Hellcats were adept at penetrating the defenses of heavily armed cruisers. Armed with 8 mass driver guns and the latest Ion Plasma Engines, the Hellcat packs a ton of power in it's compact frame.
The second of my 3 National Womens day posting. Patsy “Trish” Walker Jessica Jones side kick and previous “Girl comic” first appearing in a Miss America Magazine in 1944 I haven’t finished Jessica Jones season 3 got to the second to last episode then gave up cause it’s never getting a season 4 because Kevin Feige said that all marvel shows are no longer canon unless they are from Disney Plus. It’s sad because the defenders were really awesome and I would have love to see her be a superhero some more but that won’t ever happen
Today's story and sketch "by me" is the first sighting of
the "Hellcat lawn Chair Flyer" here at the "FSU" flying stuff universities advanced test flight area, (advanced test flight area is for gliders that didn't crash within ten minutes).
The Hellcat is a beautiful example of a graceful, yet functional design, it has a super slick waxed cardboard skin,
over the bamboo airframe, around a beechwood low back lawn chair Doris picked up at a yard sale in Peralta Hills.
The glider has a low drag coefficient, "meaning aerodynamically slippery".
The Hellcat was designed by the young Martian Doris Kagler,
with the help of Willard Wank the FSU blacksmith and an excellent bamboo bender and fabricator. Doris has been very successful lately having only three of her last five lawn chair gliders crash on their first flight. To help keep that string
of success, Doris asked her boyfriend and test pilot Captain
Ping the Lardassian test pilot, who you see in the hellcat.
And below you see former test pilot Frederico Fugu, who after his tenth crash in a lawn chair flying machine was demoted
to driving chase vehicles and FSU clean up machines, today
he is driving a Dodge Challenger Earth Cruiser.
Fred seems very happy not flying, his last crash put him
in the FSU trauma center for six months not for physical
injuries, but for emotional issues, he is extremely afraid
of water, after the gliders anti gravity propulsion malfunction he crash landed in the pacific ocean near Santa Catalina Island, He was able to kick his way out of the lawn chair seat
restraints and swim 23 miles to Long Beach, borrowed a cell
phone and beach towel from a nice young lady named Shaundra Shine, (who he is still dating) more on her story another time
until then taa ta the Rod Blog.
This is the fourth and (probably final) aircraft design for Ed Diment's project Intrepid.
In early 1945 USS Intrepid already operated F4U Corsairs, but also still a handful of older Grumman F6F Hellcats.
