After the building on the vacant lot was torn down someone, most likely the owner of the building with the awning (you'll see why I assume that in the next photo), painted "Welcome to Hell" on the remaining bits of that wall.
The building that was demolished had these ghost signs on it in September 2009.
Hell Express.
On the fast track to the pit.
Without really caring .
They kept their evil ways.
They had many warnings,
but cared not.
This train shall come to a fast halt!
Its steam is running out.
What a ride they yelled from the seats.
The smiles they once had,
will become twisted with pain.
When this train goes off the cliff ,
and sends them to the under world.
Where smiles never shine,
along with the sullen moon.
To provide for their blackened hearts.

Stiftung André Heller
Kunst, Botanischer Garten, Gardone-Riviera

Over processed? Thanks, yeah I know, that was the point. This photo was originally underexposed and the sparks were barely visible. Not sure what went wrong. I gave myself a challenge to see what I could get from the original POS image.
I'm happy. Saved the shot (kinda). It was my friend, Doug's idea so I kinda felt obligated to make it work. Got the look I was going for, epic, hell, fire, sparks, dungeons. Who wouldn't like that? Just need a dragon and this would be perfect.
Welcome to Hell, your new home
You did the crime now you`ll do the time
Right where you belong
Welcome to Hell, end of the line
Your final sin, got you in
And now your soul is mine
Welcome to Hell

I always walk down E. 3rd st. and this is the first time I've seen any Hells Angels outside.
I was wondering if they were good neighbors, and someone wrote on NYC's City Noise, "Safe neighborhood, courteous meth dealers, what more could a New Yorker want?"
Well I wish they were my neighbors - regardless if they are a combo of charitable fuzzy thug meth-dealers soft bears protectors-of-neighborhoods archivers-of-motocycle-culture lovers drinkers.
I love that on their website it says "HELLS ANGELS and the DEATHHHEAD LOGO ® are trademarks owned by Hells Angels Motorcycle Corporation, registered in the United States and various other countries. Should we find you using any of these we will hunt you down and hurt you."

Yellow Dog's Hell, a cave of this name is featured in a documentary film of simular title. Legend tells that a man was told to lock his yellow dog up in a cave in order to make his daughter healthy again. It is said that the daughter got wel because her boyfriend could visit her secretly from now on, unbeknownst to the dog.
I can honestly say that in July 2002 I went through Hell.
Its a small station in Norway. The train I was on was the infrequent international service from Storlien (just about in Sweden) to Trondheim.
Despite allegations to the contrary you can clearly see that Hell is above sea level (though not by much).
From the ReStore in Lawrence, KS - and as I have now developed a "thing" for wooden handled hammers the last few years - it came home with me
Markings are a bit hard to see - but you do have several images to chose from. Logo in form of
- HELLER (HORSE) Made in USA -
with the Made in USA in smaller letters and USA under "Made in". Horse logo totally obscured by a rusty patch
Going all in on this - puller the head, now soaking in veneffr. Will prime/paint. Handle has some splits - glued in some 1/4" dowels and hope to stabilize. Will sand and probably seal. Did not get a look at bottom of handle yet to see if there is a weight mark
Wedge is an "S" shape and will be reset, I filed off about 1/4 -3/8" of the top of the handle to get some newer wood involved.
A glass of Hell Hunt Tume on draft at Hell Hunt in Tallinn.
Hell Hunt Tume is a 5% abv dark lager (tume means dark in Estonian) brewed for Hell Hunt by Viru Õlu in Haljala, Estonia. It poured a dark red tinged brown color with a beige head. It had a lovely malt aroma with toasted notes and hints of ripe fruit and caramel. Mouthfeel was medium heavy with a soft carbonation. Flavor followed up the aroma, with an elegant malt character, not too sweet but still malty. Toasted notes and a mild bitterness finished the beer.
This is a nice dark lager in the Vienna-style direction, though a bit more malty.

Notice the text on the glass: When Hell Hunt was established in 1993 it became the first Estonian pub.
My cousin Kristie once told the very pastor who performed her wedding ceremony that she would get married "when hell freezes over". Well, hell must have frozen over...
Love you Kristie, may God bless your marriage!

Bosch likes hell a lot, or maybe it's a better subject matter for the artist. There is so much odd stuff going on in this picture, you feel guilty looking at it, maybe? I even see some ice skatin.
