People used to believe that Hells Kettles were bottomless. It is thought that this may have influenced Charles Dodson who grew up less than a mile away. Dodson wrote under the pen of Lewis Carroll...go ask Alice

Lawrence and Dorothy Heller built a legacy of arts and humanities in the Eagle Rock area of Colorado Springs in the middle decades of the twentieth century. Lawrence (Larry) was an artist well-known for his paintings, sculptures, and illustrations that depicted life in the American West. In 1996, Dorothy (Dot), a former officer with the Colorado Springs Police Department, donated her home – which included the house, a gallery, a studio, and a large tract of land - to the UCCS campus with the condition that the property serve as a center for continuing education on the arts and humanities. The display showcases a small example of their lives.
THIS is the CD that caused me to become a Residents fan. I had no source of information on this band or the origin of the music on this CD - just an incomprehensibly eclectic collection of the weirdest music I had ever heard. I tried to dismiss it as novelty, but it played on my imagination and I found myself playing it over and over and over until I was obsessed.
The covers to Heaven? and HELL! fit together to make an excellent single image. Other than that, however, the packaging is complete shit. Ryko CD's for all of their artists had then-state-of-the-art quality for the sound, yet the blandest, ugliest, and least-informative packaging. Blech!
